That’s some fancy flyin’.” She said. She stared down the sights of the cannon as Red Eye approached. Closer and closer it came. Feeling like a heavily armed deer in headlights, Jesse held off on pulling the trigger. “Come on. Open wide.” But Red Eye didn’t budge. No longer was it going to rely on bites, simply it’s titanic weight. Jesse didn’t want to waste Yellow Team’s shot. If it only opened wide, she could sink one right down it’s gullet and they would be victorious. But it was winning the game of chicken. “Clever girl.” Jesse grumbled, and as the Red Eye collided with the nearest train car she pulled the trigger after her brief countdown. That seemed to get it back for now. It certainly helped that it was so weakened. She sat back and wiped her forehead, her palms sweaty. From heat just as much as nerves. Jesse was still a bit overdressed for the weather. The Red Eyed beast destroy the armory, Braum escaping in the nick of time. But as the armory exploded, the shockwave washed over everyone around the Railway Gun. It knocked the wind right out of Jesse and smacked her head against the back of her seat, and rattled her ear drums to boot. "Agh!" She held onto the sides of her head, grimacing. Fortunately she had Health protecting her, which meant that while it still hurt like a bitch, she'd be just fine for now. It wasn't quite as bad as getting shot directly in the head with her Health up. That one almost made her see double back at that under sea lab. Regardless, Jesse still felt like Red Eye had been getting the worse of their trading of blows. Jesse still had all her insides. No more armory. They were running out of options- as in, they only had one left. Turn the cannon, load the shell, turn it back, and fire. That was the plan. “Let’s make it happen, people.” Jesse said simply, hopping out of the cockpit once more. She dashed over towards the turning controls and flexed her fingers, popping them. And then she started to mash. “Y’know, I know there’s dangerous monsters incoming but a supersonic cyborg probably wouldn’t be super underappreciated doing this.” She said genuinely a little strained as she tapped the button as fast as she could. It reminded her of playing some crappy arcade game with her brother when she was a kid. Slowly but surely the cannon began to turn, in order to be crane loaded. “Honestly.” She repeated again, more exasperated at the arbitrary cannon design. “Couldn’t it at least have been a crank wheel?”
