Folk wanted him dead, and he was in the company of people he didn’t quite know or fully trust. It was just another day for the outlaw. At least they made for good company and two of them were easy on the eyes. After drying off and securing Champ, who was just as ready to get a move on as the others, the group headed toward the blacksmith. On the way, Leaf posed a question about everyone’s combat experience. Slick would be a liar if he claimed he wasn’t interested in what each person in the group was capable of. Don’t look like much though. Slick might have made a sour face from the thought, but Leaf’s shadowboxing brought a pleasant smile to his face. “We got ourselves two champs, I see!” Slick chuckled. “As far as my own experience, same here ‘cept the ‘couple’ part. I’ve been shot at, stabbed at, beat to hell and I’ve done all the same to others. The only thing I haven’t done is die.” Slick’s voice was calm, almost as if he was talking about anything else. “I tell you what. If these demons can die, I’m sure I’ll find a way to kill ‘em.” Slick assured confidently as he parked Champ as the others approached the entrance to the Blacksmith shop run by the female light elf who had assisted in helping him figure out the worth of different types of amas. The same elf he sold a false tale about being stricken with color-blindness to. A tale that had slipped his mind entirely. “Welcome!” The elven woman greeted. “We sure are! My friends here wanted to take a look at the place where my beauty of a crossbow came from!” Slick grinned as he entered the shop last and leaned on the counter. “Psst… What’s the uh deal on referrals. I mean, there are one, two, three, four folk that are just itchin’ to buy ‘cause I said this place the best of the best. In quality… and service.”
