My memory said he was running towards the gate, but having just reread your post, I realised that my memory was unreliable... >.> Did he let the door shut behind him while heading outside? Or is he still in the Abbey proper? I've got half a post written, but I figured I'd try placing whatever named characters I can while Rigby gets over the shock of a big bird being imperious, and I didn't want to make the wrong assumptions. 

Also, [@Lord Wraith] got a preference for where the Abbot is? Back in the Great Hall or stuck near or in the Gatehouse with Jethro? Rigby is demanding I find out where everyone is so he can know they're all safe. He's already disappointed I can't tell him where Ellis and Bancroft are since he does not have the power to see through the wall....
