Battling bone cancer most of his childhood caused him to be bedridden for the majority of his life, meaning he was homeschooled and was given very little interaction outside of his family and the butlers/doctors that worked at his ancestral home in Switzerland. He eventually won and since his fifth birthday, the cancer has not resurfaced. Now at 19, against his parent’s wishes, he is leaving home for the first time to study at Eukary University, one of the most prestigious schools in the United States. His parents wished for him to stay in Switzerland due to his poor health, but he wanted to see the world after being cooped up all his life. They eventually agreed with many many stipulations. Family history: The Hartmann is a family of a long line of purebred Bernese Mountain Dogs who could trace their origin back to the Roman Mastiff, the mother breed of the Bernese. They take much pride in their namesake, but it is not their blood that made them famous, but their family business, Hartmann Pharmaceutical, a biomedical manufacturer based in Switzerland. Valued at over 10 billion dollars, they are the leading manufacturer of innovations and are known to give out grants to fund new biomedical advances. The current CEO, Valina Hartman, is a cunning woman who took over the company from her late father after dismissing all of her 7 brothers. Under her care, the company has prospered and is growing internationally. Eddie Hartmann the sixth is said to take over the company in his mother’s steed after she retires. He has never been seen in public and his current whereabouts are unknown.
