Few months back I actually read through all the Mayday Parker Spider-Girl stuff myself was a pretty fun series imo.  Finally getting to reading the rest of The Sandman right now, was quite embarrassed for the longest time I read the first few arcs and ended up perpetually forgetting to pick it up again.  If you haven't read it already would highly recommend that as well as early Hellblazer and Swamp Thing.
