Well, what I mean by that is that the dystopia didn’t last [i]that[/i] long. A solid majority of people who helped rebuild were people who had lived through and been part of society before the disaster. A large populace with an understanding what a solid society looks like, all of which were accustomed to that life, makes it not hard to convince, nor does it require a whole lot of change to make it happen, compared to building a society out of, say, a world that had lived in dystopia for centuries or longer.
