Not her drink of choice. In London, beers and harder drinks are the norm in pubs. On the rare occasions her ex got her out of the house, she'd knock back a few and get trashed, but that wasn't her goal tonight. She needed something to take the edge off the day and a wine to keep her warm, but won't knock her on her arse will do the trick. She popped open the bottle with the wine opener, then poured it into her thermos. It mixed with the tea and that might be an awful combination, but she's had worse swell. Lucien wasn't known for his taste in pubs. A little less than half the bottle was left, so she took it with her in case she needed a refill, then she made her way down the ruined hallway, passed wrecked living room, then stopped when she got the library. Should she go to her room and drink herself to sleep or should she study all she can about whatever monsters James came across during his life? She decided to go to bed. She cared about the situation earlier, but her efforts were futile. They're all going to get themselves killed. Whatever. No skin off her nose. She took a large gulp of her tea and wine concoction. The sweet alcoholic taste of wine mixed with the Earl Grey tea wasn't the best combination, but not the worst she's had. Not like she cares. She went upstairs to the East Wing where her room was, happy it's on the opposite end of the mansion to the living room. She downed another gulp of tea and wine and kicked off her boots. The liquor warmed her and made her slightly tipsy. She hasn't eaten in hours, so the wine hit harder than it usually would. She changed into her flannel floral nightgown, then laid down in bed, wrapped in her covers. She pressed her face into the pillow and cried. She wants to go home. She wants her life back. She hates it here. Everything was fine, then James did something to wreck everything. Even in death, he's a piece of shit. Crying and drinking hit her hard. She fell asleep before she realized it.
