Erik should have predicted Desmond’s reaction to his baseless assumption and he almost wished he hadn’t said anything, at least not the way he had. The old revenant held back a sigh of displeasure and instead set his gaze on the siblings. [color=gold][i]Desmond… I don’t think he could take losing her again, but…[/i][/color] There was slight brief wincing of his eyes. [color=gold][i]...what if [b]she[/b] isn’t there when she wakes?[/i][/color] Erik didn’t believe Amelia would simply forget her own brother, but Erik knew too well how even a single experience can make up so much of a person. 

[color=gold]“The Commune will figure this out for sure.”[/color] And Mr. Optimism was back. [color=gold]“Amelia has the two best docs and her brother. Couldn’t ask for a better team to nurse her back to health.”[/color] He smiled warmly to assure the concerned Desmond.

When Lys had returned, she had both the blood beads and testing kit supplies with her. When handed to him, Erik held a blood bead in each of his hands.

We have two of the peachiest docs working side by side.”[/color] He grinned before holding up the blood bead in his right hand, admiring the bright red liquid within. [color=gold]“But just in case…”[/color] He deliberately trailed off.
