Truthfully, he was still upset with her lack of sympathy for anyone else. It didn’t make sense to him that she expected him to sympathize with her but not care for anyone else. She told him that she didn’t need him to save her but it sounded different. Ezekiel frowned. ”I never said that Nanc. You’re not some damsel in distress but I want to help you.” Ezekiel watched Nancy transform before his eyes. She was calm, well as calm as one could be and then in the next she was blank faced and screaming. Ezekiel stumbled back as her power kicked in to aid her screaming and Ezekiel threw his hands up to his ears in an effort to block out some of the sound. Ezekiel was somehow okay this time. Maybe Nancy was using her power differently, Ezekiel really didn’t have a clue but that didn’t matter right now. Her scream was terrifying him as it was one of complete fear. His heart was pounding in his ears as Nancy continued to scream, feeling adrenaline course through him as he listened to her terror and tried to decide what to do to snap Nancy out of it. He dropped his hands from his ears, walked up to her and placed his hands on her shoulders. ”Nanc, come on, it’s Zeke. You’re okay. You’re here, with me. Come on,” he begged, truly at a loss for what he should be doing. Suddenly, he missed the confines of the infirmary. Physical wounds were easy to deal with, this… whatever was going on with Nancy, he didn’t wish it on his worst enemy.
