Rubick hung on Kamek's every word, fascinated by the process he had just witnessed. To think there was something like that in this world; why, it was just... unthinkable! On a basic level, it made so much sense, and yet, Rubick could not believe he had not thought to try it before. Rubick laughed and said, "[color=39b54a]The more I learn about this world, the more it amazes me.[/color]" As he accepted the shield from Kamek, he continued, "[color=39b54a]These 'sprits' that hold so many different powers and abilities... even the Arsenal Magus would be jealous. I pity him for not being here.[/color]" Flipping the shield around, Rubick marveled at its design and aura. Clearly, its true worth was in blocking magical attacks, but what was more amazing was how it was made. Rubick wanted so badly to apply this newfound knowledge for himself, but where was he going to find a foe to fell? His immediate thought was to look around him for a suitable target, but quickly decided that that would be a terrible idea. Everyone here was undoubtedly superior to him, and he was not at full strength yet himself. 

While examining his surrounding, Rubick overheard Bowser mention a detail that was seemingly important. However, the moment he tried to think about it, the knowledge had already faded from his mind. As Rubick starred quizzically at Bowser, he realized that that fact alone was very strange to him. It was unlike him to forget about knowledge before he decided to forget it, and certainly not while he was in the middle of learning about it. Turning to Kamek, Rubick was going to ask Kamek, "[color=39b54a]What was your friend... there...[/color]" but that feeling too evaporated from his mind. His eyes glazed over, then he blinked and resumed his excitement. "[color=39b54a]Oh, what fun! You must bring me along on your future adventures! I guarantee you I will not hold you back, for any feat you can perform, I can just as easily! That is my guarantee as the Grand Magus.[/color]"
