A Mercer native, Arden was raised with a healthy love and respect for pokemon. It only helped that his parents were breeders, though they specialized in fairy type pokemon, and encouraged him to try and befriend pokemon however he could. At first it was clumsy, rough approaches that often led with either himself hurt or the pokemon running away. Over time Arden tried various methods to try and befriend the pokemon in their care, until he discovered that similar to people; the quickest way to a pokemon's heart is through their stomach. 

Since then Arden has also developed an interest in Dragon type pokemon due to their strange eating habits, most being able to eat just about anything. This interest has only grown and he now wishes to really study these fascinating creatures and what better way than t raise one for himself and travel the region. Perhaps he'll even get to meet the mysterious family member that just so happens to be an Overseer. [/center]
