Origin
Born into the Akiba family, Sora was encouraged to live a safe life as a civilian. Needless to say, it came as a shock when he decided that he wanted to enter the shinobi academy. Despite the fact that he would be the first in their family to become a shinobi, or even enter the academy, his parents supported him as well as they could. It would be thanks to their help and the few friendships he made that allowed him to reach his goal at the time. It was during his time at the Academy, as with the other civilian born candidates, he noticed the large gap in skill and ability between himself and the shinobi born students. He was, however determined to not let it get him down and aimed to focus on his own strengths. Small as they were. 

He took as many supplemental courses as he could in order to close that gap, an action that distanced him from some of the other civilian born students and closer to some of the clan kids. It was in these classes that he discovered his talent for Genjutsu as well as his interest in the Medical arts. In spite of his better than average chakra control and small reserves, it has taken him the past year to learn even the basics of Medical Ninjutsu. He is hoping that upon passing the academy, his Sensei can either teach him more on the subject or at least point him in the right direction.

Outgoing and cheerful, Sora has an almost playful aura around him as he prefers to keep a certain levity about life. an Optimist, he always tries to see the bright side of anything and everything, sometimes to the point of denial or willful ignorance. He also has a tendency to hyper-focus, leading him to occasionally isolate himself from others or situations. It is both a large aid and a detriment on the battlefield.

Has excellent chakra control for a Genin, allowing him to pick up more delicate techniques a bit easier than most. His ability to hyper-focus also allows him to isolate details that some may overlook, greatly aiding him in the application of Genjutsu. His limited study of anatomy has also granted him a small edge in combat, letting him target nerve clusters and pressure points to increase his close combat ability.

*Custom jutsu that is supposed to be the most basic of medical techniques. It doesn't heal but instead sends a benign pulse of chakra through the hands into another person and "echoes" back their condition. Good for identifying things like internal bleeding, internal bruising and bone damage but little else.
