[@Vega7285]: Youkai hunter families are a fairly big deal in the supernatural world of Japan. A tsukumogami sword is 100% in line with the kind of things they'd have, as well, since they often have special weaponry. Sometimes even forged by youkai.

Youkai hunters are often from pretty extended bloodlines with long histories, quite similarly to mage families in the west. Obviously this is often the case for onmyouji as well.

It's typical for old, well-established youkai hunting families to have retainers who serve them as well.
