Temples were built for him from the skulls of the fallen and he was even once gifted lightning by Zeus to frighten the monstrous serpent Typhon. Particularly beloved by the people of Sparta, they honored fear as a positive force that held the state together, and Phobos strived during this time. It was his forever to know fear and panic, and there was naught else in the life of this deity. And he loved it.

But it did not take the god of fear long to realise that wars were always going to be there, and without the deitys to play a role, they were more chaotic than ever. It is no surprise then, that 
Phobos spent centuries fighting in any battle or war he could find. He found that men were ever weaker and striking fear into them was as easy as blinking. He never once considered that there were other paths available to him in this new life. Yet the time after the second world war was different. There were still wars going on around the world ,of course, but there was a feeling amongst mortals that they wanted peace. And this new way of life quickly became extremely tedious for the young god. He found himself restless, impatient, demanding for [i]something[/i].

It was around this time that he came across the underground lives of mortals. Crime was much more delicate than what he'd become accustome to and the god had to adapt. He learned that fear could be more subtle and secretive. He could actually play around with his [s]food[/s] hits. Phobos didn't particularly care who he worked for nor the politics that came with it. He would go where he was needed and he never really bothered to ask too many questions. Unfortunately for the greek deity however, they were often much more concerned with [i]him[/i] than he they. [s]Particularly as he often chose to work for both sides.[/s]

And eventually Phobos grew wearisome of their...solutions, and sought the help of another very familiar deity. Great uncle Hades. He'd heard of his undertakings over the years but never paid much mind to it. But when he needed a way out however, his uncle was happy to comply, and all he had to do was a few years of favours in return. Easy enough...
