[@Aeolian] Great concept—sort of 'mad' scientist, yes? There are two things, though, that I can comment on. First, the timeline is a bit wonky. The comet arrived ten years ago, when your character was 34. Your chronicle reads much differently at this time. Am I right in this? Otherwise, I completely misunderstood everything. Second, the spirits and 'mind' magic. I think it was during the first iteration of The Spirits Within, years ago, that I and those players deliberated on what spirits could and couldn't do. All sorts of 'mind' magic was excluded. Spirits express themselves purely in an elemental fashion. So, reading minds is something that we'll have to cut out and replace, completely, unfortunately. There isn't as much focus on character powers/abilities in this as it is in typical Marvel/DC stuff, I think. By 'focus' I mean 'uniqueness'. In this, it's more [i]how[/i] you attack instead of [i]what[/i] you are attacking with. So, any uniqueness has to come from the 'techniques' a character uses to express spirit/elemental magic. I listed some common techniques, but they're by no means the only ones. I gave my own character a technique that isn't listed, and that's fine. I encourage everyone to keep this in mind.
