Standing at only 5'5" he's shorter than most other kids his age giving him an air of innocence. Coupled with his love for anime and the kawaii movement, his pastel goth appearance allows many to forgive his reckless transgressions for just being too darn cute. His usual choice of footwear are Doc Martin's boots ladder laced with pastel pink laces. He often wears mismatched printed socks, mid length shorts that range from black to split dyed pastels, thick studded black belts, and a range of shirts that vary as much as his shorts do. His phone case is a clear plastic case with strawberry print on it and has several charms of fruits and sweets hanging off the corner of it. Though not naturally born with rosacea, Teddy often uses blush from cheek to cheek across the bridge of his nose, sometimes going as far to paint clouds or other designs on his cheeks or beneath the corners of his eyes. Personality: Teddy could be considered to be outgoing though not entirely sociable. He spends most of his time gaming on stream (where he may subconsciously be using his magic to gain followers) typically horror games, though the content tends to vary. When not streaming he tends to game or hang out with his twin brother Tommy. They are consistently getting themselves into trouble, usually thanks to Teddy's reckless behavior and constant need for exploration when left to his own devices. Luckily for the pair of them, his charm tends to work on his mother, allowing most of the punishments to slide by though a few do get through and stick for a while. Tommy likes to say it's because Teddy is the younger of the two, though Teddy swears he was born first. Of course they are twins, but those few moments between matter. Outside of his digital life and family, he doesn't have many friends. He could count the whole of them on one hand, and Teddy would like to keep it that way. He prefers to have a tight-knit group that he can trust and tell anything to, rather than a large number of acquaintances he hardly knows. Teddy is very protective of those he cares for, putting himself in harm's way if need be to ensure their safety. While he isn't one to start fights, he is definitely one to end them, though he prefers to dissolve the situation entirely while ensuring his friends can get out safely. Background: Theodore Cromwell is a child of two. He was born a minute earlier than his twin Thomas to the Cromwell family name. He never knew his father, having left the family at a young age leaving him to be raised by his mother and with help from his uncle from time to time. His childhood was about as normal as any others growing up in Salem. School was of no real interest to him, finding himself fantasizing about other worlds like the ones found within the pages of a comic. He lived for snow days, both for the closure of the school as well as the ability to play with the snow. But most of all it allowed for his family to be together, huddled around a fireplace watching old movies from his mother's time or newer action films that he and his brother liked. His uncle visited as often as he could, though they began to become more frequent once the twins turned seven. He would bring them both gifts, let his mother have the day off from watching them and it almost seemed to Teddy as if he was waiting for something to happen. He wasn't sure what exactly, but he could hear his mother and him talk sometimes, asking her how they were doing, if anything new had happened. It was never wildly apparent, always small things, but it wasn't until he started streaming that it was more visible. Teddy had a subconscious ability, no, a want to be adored. Perhaps it was a deep rooted hang up from his father's abandonment, but whatever the reason his magic manifested in an alluring pull. A Charm that swept over others and made them view him differently. His first stream had originally only had a few viewers. Just his friends and a rando or two. But quickly their friends began to join, and their friends, and suddenly he'd had fifty followers. It was the minimum requirement to meet affiliates, and all he had to do was maintain viewership and consistently stream. Everyone was so proud of him, his mother called her brother to tell him what happened and he came down to congratulate him personally. His words were genuine, though looking back Teddy wondered if there was something hidden behind them, a question or concern. Later while visiting, his uncle was watching them play outside when a stray ball came huddling towards one of his friends. To everyone's surprise the ball stopped mid-air, Teddy having reached his hand out to stop it reflexively stopped it with a defensive ward. His uncle quickly went to action, only leaving Teddy with the memory of what transpired and what happened next. There had never been twins in the Cromwell family before, so a question hung in the air. Who gets the magic? Or is it lost with this line? Theodore's uncle wiped the memory of all those present, making them believe the ball had nearly missed but soon after having taken Teddy for a talk. It was there he learned the Cromwell family secret, one kept by a select few family members. The first born child of every Cromwell family would inherit their magic. So it turned out Tommy was wrong, because as it stood he wasn't the one with magic. His uncle showed him basic controls, told him of the secrecy he must keep, and helped him understand this new world he was being let into. His uncle Harold took him to New York where he lived and worked. Showed him to Rixim's Statuary, a local wand shop where his family had been getting their wands for years. It was operated by a spindly lizard man with a neck frill and six limbs. The joints of his fingers cracked at his movements as he showcased them through the store. Marble statues in various poses held out wands, having first started as a column of six wands, that now seemingly unfurled into an infinite space as Teddy browsed the wares. It wasn't until he came upon a regal looking statue whose pose was refined and delicate. It held a wand as though it was praying upwards towards the sky with the instrument gently tilted towards the sky. Theodore went to grab the wand when the statued hand released its gentle grip and let it fall gingerly into his hands. He now held, and owned, a soft cherry pink wand whose hilt was a luscious gold with a diamond pommel affixed at the end. Once the wand was taken care of (alongside the holster bundle which Harry insisted they get because no respectable mage holds their wand flippantly) it was off towards the broom shop. Nowhere near as exciting in Theodore's opinion. After all, they were just brooms? How cool could they be? The answer apparently was very cool. Several models lined the shelves and display cases, each unique from the last with different colors, woods, and names. Much like with the wands, Teddy wandered about aimlessly, searching for one he liked though he wasn't sure what exactly he was looking for. When an attendant finally freed up, he hurriedly walked towards him to help him with his purchase. Spying the wand holstered to his side, the salesmen gave a smile and led them towards another section of the store. Away from the Bolting 4000's and Bruiser's, into one with more interesting looking brooms. Around the bend he'd sworn he'd seen one that seemed to match perfectly if he were to guess. And so it did. The salesmen pulled out a large box and opened it, revealing a soft cherry pink broom with white bristles bound by golden rings. It was exactly what Teddy would've wanted had he even known it was an option. Harry was happy to snag the purchase and move onto the final store. Harry led Teddy towards a large store with a Teal wooden exterior and brass doors. Once inside it was revealed to be a magical menagerie. Creatures mundane and new littered the shop roaming amongst their areas as shoppers walked the premises in search for their familiar. Teddy was so overwhelmed with the options he couldn't decide on any one. His uncle laughed at him, watching as he bounced around like a kid in a candy store. It had finally clicked that there wasn't just magic, but an entire magical world full of myths and legends. While observing a pack of creatures he'd never seen nor heard of, a voice popped into his head. I don't know why I bother, hardly anyone checks this section Teddy straightened up, curious as he looked around to see if anyone else had heard that. He thought back towards himself, unknowingly responding to the voice. Weird. Wonder whose voice that was." The following conversation went as one might expect with "you can hear me?!" And shock on both sides until finally he was led by the mysterious voice towards a dark hallway. Teddy froze at the entrance, seeing no end in sight. He simply hated the darkness. Before all the magic, he worried there was something lurking within the unseen void, smothering him and making it hard to breathe. But now that he knew magic was real and myths could be just as much, he feared it more not knowing what lurked in the spaces unseen. He took a shaky breath before turning around to which his uncle promptly stopped him. If he was being called here it was for a reason. Harold produced a light from the tip of his wand, leading them through the hallway with Teddy clinging to his side. At the end was another wing to the shop where more strange animals roamed about. But just to his right was a pink and white cat that could somehow communicate with him telepathically. He gave the familiar the name of Fresa, and though he had his own thoughts on it, Fresa didn't particularly argue it.
