[@SleepingSilence] Return of the Obra Dinn is a one of a kind game. I could play a series of games like that and not get bored. Found nothing that comes close though.

Not Tonight: Take Back Control Edition is a recent game I played that pays homage to Paper's Please. The world is a dark one but satisfying gameplay. Continuous themes of xenophobia as a central premise so I can't 100% recommend it because it's pretty uncomfortable, but humour littered throughout takes the edge off. Mind you the tone is the same as Paper's Please pretty much.
