Not specifically the subject but an activity in it. Before high school, I for some reason had an irrational fear of running the mile. I'm not sure why. I think it might have been my uncles describing it as the worst thing they did every Wednesday but I went into PE my Freshmen year expecting to die. A mile just seemed like the most impossible distance to run to me. And then I run them and for some reason I think I need to be the fastest, so I exert myself every week. Every week, leading up to Wednesday, I prepared myself mentally for the strain I know I'm going to put myself through. I was also asthmatic so this was hell. But come to find out a couple years after I ran my last mile that in order to pass, you only had to complete the run in 14 minutes. Which is a brisk walk. (I think? I never walked it. My fastest was just over 5.) [sub]QUESTION:[/sub] What is this actually, because it is not an 'L'.
