[@Silverstein] Alright, we've dealt with the Servants, so let's dish about the Master. I'll try to do this in generalized sections, but I'm a wordy sunnuvabitch, so just know now, it'll be long, but there isn't really anything overtly bad about her. Punch Mages are cool. So, my gripes are, like with Robin Hood and Fu Hao, technical and nit-picks. So: [hider=Thoughts on Cassandra] Minor Magecraft: I really feel like you're missing out here. There's a lot of potential with your Attribute of Fortification. Something like Barkskin and Stoneskin from D&D to armor your skin as a weak armor that lasts for a while or a strong armor that burns out over time, as well as using it in the manner Emiya uses it to reinforce normal items into temporarily unbreakable states of hardness. I can see Cass being the type to get into brawls wearing plastic gloves, because she knows she can fortify them, and reinforce their strength into a hard plastic. Major Magecraft: This feels more fleshed out, and yet almost not, at the same time. This is going to sound odd, but I would almost suggest swapping Robin for Leo, based on [Blood] and [Barrier] alone - ironic, though, as Spartans has zero range offenses, lacking any form of traditional archery or even slingers. Still, I'll give my reasoning. [Blood]: I feel is better served as a 1/Singularity that just instantly activates for the duration of, as the Spiritron Particles of Leonidas are attracted to his descendant, and seek to defense her while inside a Singularity, which leads into [Barrier] with a significant modification. [Barrier]: I suggest this change, solely because, the Phalanx was not just for blocking arrows, but soaking up all incoming damage and pushing forward as a crushing wall of thorns. So, accounting for Cass's background as a soldier, and Leonidas's Canon Saint Graph of Shielder, I would say to make it: 5/Singularity: Cassandra can generate three forward facing Shields of Leonidas, simulating a phalanx of her ancestor, before herself or an ally in need, that takes three hits from anything that isn't a Noble Phantasm, or at the cost of sacrificing her [Blood], Cassandra can defend herself and her allies for five Shields of Leonidas and/or defend against a single Noble Phantasm of Anti-Unit or Anti-Army. So, like with Fu Hao, you can invoke one really cool moment, or pace out your smaller ones, and it plays into Cass's (from my point of view) defender nature. Plus, even if you lose [Blood], you still have your defensive Minor Magecraft to rely on and your combat skills, so you aren't going into the negatives. [Odds]: I am pretty neutral-positive about this one. I like the idea of a "meathead" being secretly brilliant enough to defy the odds of fate itself, so I don't see much wrong with it as an escape option. It won't redefine entire combat scenarios, but it will open avenues. And, the last bit. I, genuinely, feel that the spearhead fragment needs to do something, as a Mystic Code, as it's more of a trinket at its current state of writing. Maybe, something along the lines of giving her a temporarily mythical state of being - like the Rage of Sparta, if you will - that enhances her physical capability and mental acumen at the cost of a severe period of fatigue and migraine. Her situation is unlike Michel's, where he's brand-new to actual world of magic, so he doesn't have a Mystic Code and has to use the CHALDEAS Rayshift Suit. Just her being raised by, even a Minor Family, is enough to justify hers in the form of the spearhead. Now, with all that said any done, I will be accepting Cass in her current state. I do recommend mulling over my suggestions, but they are only that and come free with a grain of salt. If you like her how you've presented her, that's perfectly fine with me. Same with Michael, I like her, and the idea of a less-conventional Master concept to balance out the party's personality is good.[/hider]
