[center]The empire's history begins in the turbulent region later known as the Vosta. There the established city states in the mountain jockeyed for hegemony. The city state of Eryx was able to establish a long standing hegemony over the region. However over time their rule became more tyrannical leading to the assasstion of the hegemon and breaking of Eryx hold over Vosta. The city states fell back into petty squabbling. Soon the city state of Atrans under the tyrant Bolculinis began to establish a new hegemony. However they were opposed by an unexpected foe. Standing against them was what many consider a minor city state, Volsinii led by a newly crowned king Virmar. The young king expanded his control over the region. Soon Virmar and Bolculinis face each other in the climactic battle of Red valley. The battle ended with Vimar's personality slaying Bolculinis during the battle, declaring the birth of the Volsinii empire. Emperor Virmar ruled his young empire for thirty more years. When he was old and sick he gave his son his final request before he threw himself on his own funeral pyre. The act is said to have burned away his mortal form allowing him to ascend to godhood according to Volsinii sources. The empire continue to grow under Virmar successors.

The empire was faced with a series of civil wars and rebellions by various groups. The largest bening from syndicalist.

The Great War: 
The Volsinii empire was a part of the Iron pact at the start of the war. And mobilized its armies accordly. One could find Volsinii soldiers on many fronts throughout the world.

The economy of the empire is heavily based on industry. With the imperial government having a hand in a managing the economy. With several industries being nationalized as they are considered highly important to the empire for example the arms industry. With major cities forming around the many rivers to help facilitate the flow of goods throughout the empire. Making easier to transport material between cities. Most of Volsinii is industrialized thanks to the efforts of imperial government to keep the empire competitive with the other states of the world. Labor unions are banned being labeled as a threat to national security. 
The main imports of the empire are food due to the industrialization of the empire along with the destruction done by the volcano. Along with luxury goods, oil, and more exotic goods.
The exports of the empire are manufactured goods, weapons, and raw material.[/center]
