Liam said he would wait outside of town. While out there he encountered an injured Growlithe.

Hydro's water attacks scared off two of the three attackers. The remaining one used Crunch on Hydro and triggered Torrent. Liam called for an Aqua Tail and KO'd the Houndour. Liam used a Super Potion to restore the Growlithe, who reached up and licked Liam's face. Liam decided he wanted to fight the Growllithe to try and catch it the successful attempt earned Liam the much needed fire type for his team.
