The enormous windows let the scorching sunshine into the interior garden, where luxuriant greenery covered the walls and floor. Taking a drink of the black tea and honey combo, he found himself at ease for the time being. It was pleasant to see Chosah play around the coy pond and examine the blossoming plants. He took another sip of tea and let his gaze follow his daughter. Chosah was scampering on the hardened sandstone tile floors. Her fine motor skills were far from flawless, but he hoped that playing in the indoor garden would help her improve over time. She examined each flower, attempting to pick some of them and relocate unoccupied pots as best she could. Chosah raced through several of the puddles strewn about the tan floors. The young girl was quickly whirled around by Dutchess the Doberman pinscher, practically on top of her. Looking at Dutchess, it was clear that she was unduly concerned about Chosah, which prompted the dog to be overbearing and the small girl to tumble. The vines crawling over the room may not have helped the child's case. Her foot appeared to have become entangled in a section of coral honeysuckle, which was starting to flower coral and salmon-colored blossoms. When Chosah collapsed, Archer's ears seemed to shoot up. Despite his concern about Chosah, the second dog remained seated alongside Katakuri. "Duchess, come!"Katakuri decided to grab the dog's attention because she was nearly refusing to allow Chosah to get up. Since he employed a stern voice, the multicolored creature seemed to pause before dashing towards her master, virtually putting her head on his lap to ask for forgiveness. "I know you want to help her, but you're doing more harm than good," he said casually to the dog as he started to pet her. While he stroked her head, Dutchess seemed to grind her mouth into his knee, her ears dropping each time his fingers reached them. Katakuri believed that animals had awareness, and he owned dogs long enough to know that they comprehended simple commands. “Papa,” she murmured as she slowly rose from her fall, uninjured, and with a smile on her face. While his daughter called quietly, he raised his attention to her and replied, "Yes?"Chosah appeared to be on her hands and knees at the small indoor koi pond, attempting to reach one of the koi. He sighed at her foolish attempt to pet a fish and yelled out to his daughter, "Take care! I know you're in swimming lessons, but you shouldn't go near the pond." With those remarks, he stood up and went to get her away from the water. When Chosah noticed her father approaching, she stood up quickly and dusted off her dress, which had three yellow flowers hand-embroidered in the front. Katakuri felt horrible since Urose was nearly a mother to Chosah, but he welcomed all the aid he could get from his mother. If Urose was ever asked, she would gladly take care of her granddaughter. She was overjoyed to be in charge of Chosah. Katakuri was close to Chosah but not within arm's reach of his daughter. A pink light could be seen from the corner of his eyes, drawing his attention to the sky beyond the large windows. The light was visible for only a few seconds before the sky returned to normal. He kept his gaze fixed on the spot in the sky to alter his perception, as he expected it to emerge from one of the lower rings from where it was located. "Mhm..." was the result of his cognitive process. Within that short period, Katakrui felt a weird sensation coursing through his veins. When he heard a splash from the koi pond, he snapped out of it. "Chosah!" In response to her plunging into the water, he yelled. She rapidly went through the motions of keeping herself above water, but she didn't have to do much before her father yanked her out of the water. He rescued his daughter, but his dress pants were soaked up to the knees. The two dogs saw Katakuri in the pond and assumed it was a confirmation of play. They ran towards the man and splashed around in the pond. Katakuri shielded his face, and he heard his daughter laugh. "Do you think this is funny?" he inquired. Chosah responded by nodding her head, obviously indicating that she found it amusing. "Okay, I'll dress you like a boy. That amuses me," while stepping out of the koi pond - he attempted to taunt her. "Everyone out," he said, motioning for the dogs to quit scaring the fish and splashing water everywhere. He'd be lying if he said he didn't desire a son, but he loved his daughter nonetheless. "Papa, no!" she cried, clutching his dress shirt tightly. She was extremely concerned that her father would threaten her in this way. "I like dresses," she added. Chosah adored the outfits her grandma made or the ones her father bought her. She was a tomboy but preferred to do everything in a frock. When he arrived at the solarium doors, he stepped out and closed them once the dogs had left the room. One of the maids, which was nearby, looked horrified. Two wet mutts dashed through the halls, as did youthful master Soran, who was drenched up to his knees in noisy shoes. He made his way through the Soran family mansion to Chosah's room. Make sure she gets out of her damp garments and into dry ones. He noticed his mother heading down the hall as he exited his daughter's room with her close behind. "What is all this commotion?" she wondered, having noticed the dogs rushing by before noticing her son, who was still wet, and her granddaughter, who was dressed in new clothing. "I apologize for the shambles, mother. I'll make it up to you later, but could you kindly have Chosah for the time being? "He pleaded as he handed his daughter over to his mother. Urose did not seem to hesitate in taking her granddaughter from her eldest son, remarking, "Do what you have to," while holding Chosah. "Thank you, mother," Katakuri replied as he dashed off to his room. He swiftly changed his socks, slacks, and shoes in his room. He felt it would be wiser to walk outdoors and figure out what that pink glow was. As he left the Soran family estate, he understood that something was seriously wrong with everyone. People who were not previously benders demonstrated the ability to bend various elements such as water, fire, air, and earth. People appeared to be scared of both themselves and others. Inhaling sharply, he had no idea what was going on, but he could tell it wasn't good. He knew the Lotus Security Force, as well as other organizations and the government, would be all over this. He was slowly wandering through the streets, unsure of what he should do in this situation. The further he wandered through the frightened streets, the more blood and death he saw. Standing about his height and a half away from a sprawled-out figure on the ground. The person he was staring at was obviously dead, with his eyes still open and a puddle of blood surrounding his motionless body. Katakuri approached the body slowly and noticed that the man had extensive bruises on his skin, indicating that he had been transformed into or attacked by an earth bender. Katakuri was well-versed in the various forms of bending and how they might leave marks on one's flesh. Crouching down, he regarded the man in the eyes before sighing, "I am sorry that your life had to end this way," he whispered before closing the man's eyelids and glancing at the disturbance further away.
