Didn't realize it was that time already.
MAIN PROFILE
Name: Isaiah Cross (Izzy) Age: 25 Gender: Male Birthplace: Motostoke Appearance Information: Isiah is tall, approaching 6' 4", though he does tend to slouch which allows him to be missed a bit easier in crowds. He does dress nicely on the regular, at least when he knows that someone might be seeing him, but when he's by himself it would take a massive force to get him in a tie. Despite the somewhat scruffy appearance he usually presents it's entirely intentional, down to the tired stare. Personality: Isaiah is fairly quiet and reserved, but those who know him know that there's a caring person under the seeming disinterest. He's always willing to help those who come to him with problems, though he may grumble the whole time they're present. He can come off a little harsh and forceful in certain scenarios, but it is usually driven by concern rather than any actual malicious intent. It does take a fair amount of time and effort to get to know Isaiah. He likes to spend time with his Pokémon and make sure that each one of them is up to the challenges that they'll be up against. That can, unfortunately in some cases, leave little time to focus on the human interaction. If someone approaches him though he'll take the time to get to know them as best he can. He doesn't consider that many people to be his friends though. He is, however, usually willing to chat with fans and is generally friendly when it comes to his projected image to the rest of Galar. He is confident in his abilities and knowledge, and takes time to consider every angle of a problem before he offers input on how to solve it. Unless it's during battle in which case he prides himself on being able to think on his feet. He does have his moments of levity though and is not opposed to going out with his few friends, so long as he can get back in time to take care of his teams and the clinic he runs. Short Biography: Born in Motostoke the son of a mechanical engineer and a doctor it was pretty clear from the beginning that his parents expected a lot out of him. Despite the pressure Isaiah did find himself growing up in a loving and caring household with his older sister. Being in Motostoke, from the time he could get out of the house on his own he liked to go and see the trainers challenging the gym and, like many kids, wanted to join the challenge when he was old enough. Both his parents were all for it, under one condition. Once he hit a wall, as they seemed to figure he would, he had to start working towards an actual career. One that they had. He didn't exactly like the terms, but agreed and vowed to himself to not hit that wall. Unfortunately they were right, and despite making it fairly far in the challenge he was forced to drop out after a pretty hefty defeat. He did keep his word though and started the process of learning medicine like his father. That didn't stop him from continuing to work with his team on the regular, finding a particular fondness for dark types, given his own quiet personality. His medical career was interesting and he liked helping people and Pokémon both, but he always found himself spending more time with his Pokémon than on his job. By the time he decided he wanted to try the gym challenge again he had built up quite the team and got significantly closer to winning the league than his previous attempt. One more shot the next year, and another loss, and he found himself considering going back to his job before he got approached by the dark type gym leader. With plans to retire he needed someone new to take over and decided that Isiah had what it took to be one of the stepping stones for other trainers journeys. Though, he does still run a small clinic in the off season with a focus on physical therapy for people and Pokémon both. The challengers are given a flashlight and have to make their way through it while contending with gym trainers and wandering dark types. A number of the ghost Pokémon that are considered too strong for Iris' gym do come around and help out on the regular providing jump scares for wrong turns and directions, good or bad, on the occasion. Doubles as a laser tag course for Astrid's gym.

POKEMON

[Scraggy (Mojo)]: The first member of Isaiah's league team and definitely the most eager. Mojo is always raring to go with any and all challengers so that he can show off his carefully practiced moves. He doesn't much mind losses because he knows that it means the next challenger is on their way and he'll get his chance to get onto the field again sooner rather than later. His skin is slightly more on the orange side, similar to his evolution. [Galarian Linoone (Scrounge)]: Scrounge is the sister to Roswell and, mercifully, is much more relaxed. She prefers to shuffle around and hunt of snacks than cause problems for Isaiah and the team. He gave Scrounge her name because he discovered her love of snuffling through bags and in the dirt for aanything that catches her attention. Thankfully she's more attentive on the battle field than in training. Her feet are white rather than the usual gray. [ G-MAX Absol (Sly)]: Sly is the top dog of the league team and he knows it. While he can't stack up to Izzy's main team he likes to show off for the newer Pokémon and for challengers. He gets grumpy if he isn't getting the attention he thinks he deserves and will go out of his way to sneak pets and treats in any way he possibly can. Looks like a normal absol.

[Houndoom (Apollo)]: Apollo is slightly larger than average for a Houndoom, but despite this thinks he is incredibly small. This mostly becomes a problem when he tries to hide under tables or climb on Isaiah's lap. He's somewhat skittish and shy, but in battle jumps in quickly with a hard hitting flamethrower before slinking off to hide in some towels after the fight is over. [Tyranitar (Shani)]: Nothing tends to stand in Shani's way, and not entirely because she's a massive rock lizard. She will put herself at the forefront of any and all fights with a brave face and confident grin. If a fight seems hopeless she is always willing to jump in and take a hit to prove that it isn't. [Zoroark (Blythe)]: Despite the slinking nature known to Zoroarks, Blythe likes to be up in front, center of any and all attention. That's not to say he doesn't have the mischievous nature common to the species and he does take any and all opportunities to try and cause problems with his illusions. His fur is more black than gray and it allows him to creep around when he so desires. [Bisharp (Jem)]: It is difficult to see expression on Jem's face, given the helm, but he does always seem happy. No matter if a fight goes good or bad he is the one to go around and pat everyone on the back. Amongst the more pushy members of the team he's a nice balance point that Isaiah greatly appreciates. [Hydregion] (Zhanna): Zhanna is an intimidating looking Pokemon, but she really is a sweetheart. At least off the battlefield. On the pitch she is a no mercy sort of fighter who will do everything in her immense power to win a fight and she is the most crushed in the event of a loss. [ G-MAX Obstagoon (Roswell)]: Roswell is likely the most troublesome on the team due to his forceful and demanding personality. He is arrogant and that can lead him to push around other members of the team and despite Isaiah's best efforts he hasn't quite been able to correct that. It probably doesn't help that Roswell is, by virtue of what he is, the signature Pokémon of the team.

[Umbreon (Jasper)]: Jasper is the most relaxed of all the members of both teams. He's perfectly happy to sit back in his pokeball instead of leap teeth bared into the fray, but he does have his strengths. Mostly in taking hard hits that the rest of the team might not be able to. His favored spot is not in the stadium, but rather in any spot of sunlight he can find. [Honchkrow (Raine)]: Raine is somewhat small for a Honchkrow and she is definitely snippy about that fact. Any jab on her size is pretty quickly met with a buffet of her powerful wings and a heavy glare. Still this doesn't stop her on the field and she is always ready to be one of the first out of the ball when given the chance. [Krookodile (Leonardo)]: Definitely one of the most troublesome Pokémon Isaiah has had to deal with. Leonardo is big, stubborn, and pushy when it comes to getting what he wants. He respects Isaiah, but that's about all that can be expected from him. He is a powerhouse in battle and that can sometimes excuse the behavior but only on the rare occasion he gets brought on. [Pangoro (Lurch)]: Lurch is one of the older members of the team. He has been with Izzy the longest out of most everyone else and only jumps into fights if he's truly needed. His name comes from a twisted leg, giving him a lurching gait when he walks, but it doesn't stop him fighting. Isaiah would love to have him on his main team, but he worries about the injury and age taking it's toll given the graying around the large panda's muzzle. Now he mostly watches over the benched team. [Sharpedo (Riva)]: Thankfully Riva mostly sticks to the water because if she was free to be out and about every member of the team would constantly be sporting scrapes from her skin. She's sweet, but also likes to cause trouble, not anywhere near what Leo does, but enough that it can become an irritation during training. The sharp, toothy grins, unsurprisingly, don't help her case much.

[Herdier (Beau)]: Entirely a companion for when Izzy is at home, Beau is one of the sweetest Pokémon on the planet in her trainer's opinion. She is always a joy to come home to and will wiggle herself off her feet with excitement when she gets to go out and participate in training. Of course it's very minor, but she doesn't need to know that. [Rockruff (Ozzy)]: Ozzy is the newest addition to Isaiah's troupe and it shows. He's young and excitable with a lot to learn, but Isaiah's hope is to raise him into therapy to help the children that come around to his clinic. The Rockruff started off as a bit of a charity case when his trainer surrendered him to the clinic after a debilitating battle injury, but Isaiah got quickly attached to the little rock type.

RELATIONS
Astrid-Considers her a close acquaintance since he’s known her since they were younger. Still fusses at her for getting in over her head. Despite that he’ll treat whatever new injury she comes into the clinic with even if he’s rolling his eyes the whole time. Bianca-Greatly appreciates her help at the clinic when she comes by whether it be for cleaning or to use her Pokémon as a living ice pack. Enjoys her company since she’s more chill (pun intended) than many of the other gym leaders. Hestia-Thinks she works herself too hard, even just from a medical standpoint, and will tell her on the occasion though it usually ends up in the both of them getting grouchy at each other. Generally thinks she’s a bit Much on the arrogance and showing off. Fiona-Wouldn’t mind going out to get a drink with her if she asked, but would prefer if there were some other people around to take the attention. He would harp on the fact that she doesn’t appear to put in a lot of effort, but he’s seen enough battles to know she can hold her own. Mika-Fairly good friends with him, largely because of Mika’s interest in the medical field in regards to taking care of his Pokémon. Interested in his study on ancient Pokémon, so they spend a fair amount of time exchanging information. Took care of one of Mika’s Pokémon after it got injured and still checks in on how the physical therapy is holding up from time to time. Iris-Appreciates her love of her ghost type Pokémon. Given most people associate their types with being scary or mean he likes knowing someone else cares about them. Having her Pokémon come around to help out at his gym has allowed him to consider her a good acquaintance. TBC
