Yay, RP is up!! Here's my chilly fairy:

[color=4DA6FF][b]Magic:[/b][/color] While technically a water fairy, Zircon specialises in ice magic. She can manipulate water in its liquid form to a small extent, and breathe in it, but her true talent lies in freezing it and generating snow. Extreme cold doesn't hurt her, although high temperatures weaken her.

Zircon has the same dark-blue hair and blue tinged skin as most of the water fairies in her family, but that's where the similarity ends. Her skin has a frosty sheen to it, as do her wings, which are transparent. She dresses in muted shades of blue and grey, eschewing the bright colours worn by most fairies in her former hometown.

Standing at 3 inches (5'8" when she takes on human size), she's tall for a fairy. Her sharp features add to her perpetually unamused look.

[color=4DA6FF][b]Personality:[/b][/color] As is fitting for the ice element, Zircon isn't the most expressive fairy. She shows emotions in a subdued way at best, with exasperated sighs and eye rolls. Most of the time she's quiet, only speaking when she truly has something to say.

Due to her past of having been pressured to join in activities that weren't for her, she dislikes pushy people, and those who want her to change to suit them. Her experiences have left her without much of a sense of fun, and she's often told she needs to lighten up. Despite this, she cares about others more than she lets on. Like cracks in ice, sometimes her gentler side will show through the cool and aloof facade.

[color=4DA6FF][b]History:[/b][/color] Zircon was born in the wrong kingdom, the sunny Fey Tropics. Although most of the water fairies there thrive in sun, sea and sand, way back in the Mistmoon family line were a few fey who used water magic differently, with an affinity for ice. Zircon took after said ancestors, with a silvery sheen to her skin from birth, and a dislike of the warmth. While other children played on the beach, she'd retreat deep into the cool ocean, and the few times she resurfaced, she'd make it snow. This caused no small amount of conflict, as she'd either get called a grumpy stick in the mud, or get accused of ruining the merriment.

As soon as she was old enough to leave home, she moved to a much more fitting location, the Minty Mountains. Appreciating the peace and quiet, she took up sculpting. Yet from time to time, she'd return to the Fey Tropics. Only out of duty, she'd claim, although anyone could tell she was still attached to her family and the other fey she'd grown up around, no matter how overbearing they'd been trying to get her to keep up with them.

One such fairy was a childhood friend. [url=https://i.imgur.com/IqKxUWo.jpg?1]Coralie Seabreeze[/url] would annoy Zircon no end, and does to this day, who despite it all still hangs around. Sometimes, Coralie visits her in the Minty Mountains - being used to the oceans's chill, she doesn't mind the cold. Even though Zircon expresses irritation at Cori's boundless energy and playful pranks, she views her as a cherished friend - and possibly something more. It was Cori who convinced her to come along to the festival, which Zircon hopes she doesn't regret.

[color=4DA6FF][b]Other:[/b][/color]
- She sculpts with stone and ice. She's working on mastering a spell to keep ice from melting, so as to make permanent structures, although right now she can only do this with tiny figurines.

- Has visited Transfeyvania a few times to sell her wares, and likes it since it's one of the few places in the Feywilds with a muted aesthetic. She thinks dark fairies get an undeserved bad rap.[/hider]
