So I've been thinking- (it's near enough Halloween for me to watch Halloween movies right?) Beetlejuice is a pretty fun storyline, and I'd like to roleplay something of the same style. I love Tim-Burton and his work, and I think the wacky, comedy-horror premise of it would be really fun. Of course, it would be set in modern day, not 1988. I mean- it COULD be 1988, so just let me know which one sounds more appealing to you! 2022, or 1988. It would start with a new family/group of friends/whatever (I'll just call them family) moving into a beautiful house on a hill, that had been empty for years. It could be a large family, or a small family, depending on the amount of people showing interest in this. In said family, there will be a few people who are able to see the ghosts in the house. Oh- did I mention the ghosts? There are ghosts living in the house. They can be anyone, from the former owners, to some random people, but they MUST have a connection to the house. These ghosts (or at least most of them) want these people OUT. The family might have done something to the ghosts to upset them, or the ghosts just don't want them there, anything. So naturally, these ghosts try to mess with the family. They call in some (or a) ghost(s) to scare this family out. These ghosts are more malicious spirits, and to summon them you must say their name three times. Antics ensue. Possession, screwing with the family, hiding belongings, ect ect. And while this is happening, the family are trying to get rid of the malicious spirits, and possibly the ghosts all together. Will the ghosts let the family stay? Or will they drive them out of their house? You can roleplay as OC's, or canon characters. (Eg: Beetlejuice, The Maitlands, Miss Argentina, Juno, whatever)- just make sure if we go with the 2022 time-frame, that Lydia would be a lot older. This roleplay I'm hoping will be rather slow-paced, and have more emotional scenes as well as the wacky ones. Nobody is probably going to like this, but it popped into my head last night. Have a lovely day, and take care of yourself!
