Adding this guy, because after playing Legends I couldn't resist a cameo character. Let's see what you're made of! Name: Okido Age: 25 Status: Mercenary hired by Kaizer Appearance: Okido would earn an odd stare from anyone living in the Rallen Region. His clothes are made from cascoon fiber and his normal armor looks totally bizarre compared to the Rallen Knight's platemail. He's typically seen wandering around in robes rather than clothing 'approved' by the Unity Knights' Academy, and almost always wears sandals. When asked, he complains, "Your tunics restrict my movement, and your boots crush my feet". At his side, he carries a sword that he claims to have inherited from his grandfather, a legendary warrior in his home region. Personality: Okido is a rather cocky man. If he's ever lead to a fight, he will constantly brag about his achievements and battle record before initiating combat, and seems to have a strange tendency to yell when attacking. He's also exceptionally proud of his skill at training his partner as Gyarados are seen as wildly destructive and hard to control all across the world. Despite his bragging, Okido has the skill to back up many of his claims. He's a highly trained fighter and he seems to possess an innate knowledge of Pokemon that exceeds that of many scholars in Rallen. Biography: Much of Okido's past is shrouded in mystery. What is known is that he turned up on the shores of the Rallen Region two years ago riding a Gyarados and demanding to battle the strongest warriors in Rallen. Ten of Rallen's strongest knights were sent to face him, but all ten were swiftly defeated, with Okido claiming their weapons as 'trophies'. Kaizer and Ignis were then summoned to give Okido his challenge. Their battle lasted for nearly three hours until Kaizer activated his Unity with Ignis and gained the upper hand. Right as Okido was about to lose, he called out to his Gyarados and a triggered a Unity of his own. With this sudden turn of events, Okido lauched a powerful counterattack, taking Kaizer by surprise. Despite the sudden power up, Okido's unfamiliarity with Unity was his ultimate downfall. In his attempt to defeat Kaizer, Okido burned through his partner's energy too quickly as the armor vanished. Seizing the moment, Kaizer landed a powerful blow to the ronin's chest, and won the duel. Afterwards - much to Kaizer's surprise - Okido bowed down before him and demanded that Kaizer teach him about this new power he'd awakened. Despite his initial refusal, Kaizer was moved by the young man's dedication and his promise that he would return the weapons he took from the other knights in exchange for Kaizer's tutelage. Returning to the academy with Kazier, Okido was taken in as Kaizer's 'apprentice' and an assistant battlemaster to the students. Many a student are enthralled by the stories of his travels in addition to his key insights into both combat and Pokémon care. While he's expressed a desire to return to his home region one day, Okido claims he won't do it until he's seen every Pokémon the world over, and mastered the power of Unity. Partner Pokémon: Okido's partner is Genzai, his red Gyarados. He claims he caught the unusual Pokémon as a golden Magikarp in a pond outside his family home, but he's also told stories to other students about how he met the monster while sailing the seas and tamed it through sheer will. Regardless of the real story, it's clear that Genzai respects Okido and follows his orders without question. Due to it's size, Genzai doesn't live in the academy paddock with the rest of the Pokémon. Instead, it lives in a nearby lake by which Okido conducts his classes with the students. Strangely, Genzai has taken well to life at the academy and tries to get along with students who are terrified by his mean-looking façade. Unity Abilities: When using Unity, Okido becomes covered head to toe in a samurai-like armor depicting his partner's visage. The armor offers him complete protection from a variety of blows and - on close inspection - is actually quite oily like fish scales. This enables attacks to simply slide right off him while he's free to attack as he pleases. Okido gains an incredible boost in strength while in this form, and his attacks are so fast, some say it's like fighting a wild Pokémon itself (Thrash). He can use magic to fire powerful bursts of water from either his hands, or the faceplate of the armor (Hydro Pump), and generate high velocity winds to slash his enemies (Hurricane). Finally, when he gets really angry, Okido summons all his fury into his sword and can unleash devestating energy attacks, but this has the cost of burning through his stamina quickly (Dragon Rage). Likes: - Meditating - Honor - Meeting new Pokémon - Proving his superiority - Raw Fish - Poetry Dislikes: - Loud Noises - Losing - Those without honor - Alcohol - Psychic-Type Pokémon Quirks: - Sometimes, a passing student might see Okido scribbling onto a piece of paper. He won't admit it, but Okido is secretly a big fan of writing poems. - Okido has tried several times - unsuccessfully - to get food from his home region put on the menu at the academy. He claims it's tasty, but many don't want to try his raw fish meals. - One of Okido's hobbies is walking through the forest and collecting Cascoon silk. He uses the silk to mend his clothes and as maintenance for his sword. - Okido is a lightweight. One sip of alcohol and he gets drunk. He claims he just prefers tea. Relations
