Telepathy: Though it is mostly surface-level, Alyssa is able to read minds and communicate through telepathy. Despite her best attempts, she seems unable to mind control someone. This has been a great disappointment to both Alyssa and her father. However, she is able to communicate telepathically at short to mid ranges. (Think within a mile). Memory Manipulation: The meat of Alyssa’s power is here. Upon delving into someone’s mind, Alyssa is able to access their memories. She can view them intimately, as if she were in the memory herself. Additionally, she can change them, to make a person believe whatever she wants them to. She can also ‘delete’ memories from another person, though Alyssa personally considers this ‘going too far.’ In essence, Alyssa is a superpowered gaslighter. It works well for what she likes to do. She is able to do this at a range equal to her telepathy. Memory Copying: Alyssa can ‘save’ memories from other people in her own mind, copying them over for future reference. Pulling memories from another person requires physical contact. It is easiest if she can touch their head, but she’s been able to do it from a hand touch before. For Alyssa, a fuzzy or repressed memory would be vivid and easy to read. This ability is most helpful because it allows her to learn things other people might know - such as a language or the answer to last night’s math homework. Perfect Recollection: Alyssa has the ability to perfectly recall anything that has ever happened to her, as well as any memories she has borrowed from someone else. This gets very granular; she can remember exact smells, sights, and touches. Alyssa considers it a blessing and a curse… some things are simply better left forgotten.
L I M I T A T I O N S
Alyssa’s biggest limitation is that she would fold like paper if things got physical. She’s best at a range, and sometimes the mission just doesn’t allow for that. Additionally, some of her powers require physical contact, and most importantly: time. Pulling a memory that’s been repressed or one from a childhood, in the vivid detail that Alyssa does, is not an easy task by any means, regardless of how much she might act like it is. She is not very adept at hand-to-hand combat. In fact, she’s rather bad at it. Punching and kicking is not her strong suit, and she’s well aware of that; she does her best to circumvent this using her powers, and is somewhat successful.
C O M B A T
In combat, Alyssa is surgical and destructive with what she does. It’s easy to beat almost anyone if she simply acts first. She likes to pull out the ‘background’ memories people have. Making people forget to breathe, how to walk, or talk, or how to fight… doing it quick and dirty isn’t her favorite, and sometimes its not her best work, but it has proven to be rather effective. The simple truth of the matter is Alyssa would prefer to not be in combat, and instead be a member of an intelligence team. Interrogation, manipulation, and negotation are much more her forte.
[sub]
⋙: A P P E A R A N C E [sup]& P E R S O N A L I T Y[/sup]
[/sub]____________________________________________________________________ D A I L Y L O O K S & S T Y L E

Hair: Blonde | Straight | She likes ponytails? She considers him one of the most valuable people to be on the earth. She has a lot to learn from him, and plans to take over his company and position of power. Also, she kind of hates him. It’s difficult. Matthew Cashmore: Her beloved little brother. Alyssa cannot help but somewhat blame Matt for the death of their mother, but she ultimately feels compelled to shield and protect him from their father. Alyssa wishes he took more pride in his abilities and carried himself a bit better. These are things that are difficult to put to words though, and she’s made an almost subconscious decision to let Will handle him. William Blake: Alyssa has a deep respect for Will. He may be a little tight on the rules for her tastes, but she is nonetheless impressed by the way he carries himself. Alyssa has already cracked under the pressure of the world around her, and William seems to thrive under that weight. How could she not respect him? If William were ever to break bad, Alyssa isn’t sure how she would handle it. Though she isn’t sure how he views her, she certainly considers him to be one of her rocks. At times, her only. Despite, in her mind, creating a neon sign that says ‘I want to kiss you’ and waving it around rapidly, Evelyn seems to either not notice or not care about all of Alyssa’s efforts in their relationship. Alyssa is not sure which one would be more insulting. One way or another, Alyssa plans to make Evelyn hers.
[sub]
⋙: H I S T O R Y
[/sub]____________________________________________________________________ Y O U R L I F E S O F A R
Once upon a time, Alyssa was an only child. Some people in her life truly believe that Alyssa thinks this was a ‘better’ time, but the truth is to her it was just… ‘different.’ She can remember her mother, she can remember how she sounded, what she said, how she smelt, how it felt when she rocked her to sleep. She remembers all of those things fondly. Unfortunately, when her younger brother was born, Alyssa lost her mother. This is something she has always struggled with. Though she knows it wasn’t his fault, she can’t help but somewhat place blame of their mother’s death on Matthew. When something so tragic happens to a child, dealing with the trauma is… difficult, and Alyssa found a person to blame. Perhaps it would have been a good idea to put the young girl in therapy, but Alexander Cashmore had no time or foresight for such a thing — so she had to deal with it herself. It was a really unfortunate situation; Alexander seemed to not care about Matthew, and Alyssa had to often ‘deal with him’ herself, even at a young age. If Matthew cried, and there was no nanny, or auntie, or uncle around to answer the call, then it fell on the older sister to figure it out. This would only add to her resentment, and in a not-so-shocking turn of events, Alyssa eventually turned her frustration on her father as well. Even though she was starting to resent him, she knew even at a young age that she was her father’s favorite. In his eyes, how could she not be? Even in her adolescent years, Alyssa used her powers to manipulate people to get what she wanted. When her father found out, Alyssa thought she’d be punished — perhaps in a similar way to her brother, who was practically abandoned by their father at this point. Instead, Alyssa found her father overjoyed at his daughter’s lack of morals. Throughout her teenage years, she worked closely with him to learn the inner workings of the business, planning to take it over after she finished college — hostilely if necessary. By this time, Alyssa had mostly come to terms with her mother’s death. She learned to protect her brother, and that they were to depend on each other and help each other, even if she was fairly harsh with him. In her mind, pushing Matthew to be one of the best was the greatest way to make a thorn in her father’s side. When Matthew turned eighteen, Alexander tasked Alyssa with the job of reaching into Matthew’s mind and reprogramming his memories to think he always wanted to do whatever his father wanted. If he was sent to college with the right mindset, Alexander thought, then he would grow into the ‘right’ person. Alyssa had to think and act fast, and tweaked her father’s memory to believe she’d already ‘fixed’ Matt. To this day, she’s still waiting for it to blow up in her face; not to mention the surprisingly immense guilt she feels over it.
