[@antiquity] Understandable. What I meant was that Hosts have the ability to resist the Sins on a day to day basis (I.e. the Sins attempts to torment/convince their Hosts into releasing them). Calling upon the Sin’s power is the Host sort of actively tapping into or stealing power from the demon. It grants them power, but it’s a double edged sword that causes some form of ‘payback’ from the Demon. So yes it does have negative consequences, but it’s typically for just the Host.
