A wing leader and one of their squad are injured during a wyvern attack and they wake up somewhere impossible, not another country, another era. Centuries before modern Navarre before Basgiath, before wards and before dragons and humans became allies in the way that they are now. The world is rougher; just as dangerous, if not, more. They meet dragon riders from that era and try to blend in until they can find a way home.

Friends that survived the threshing but only one gets bonded, on a night where they decide to say "fuck it all", they get drunk during celebrations. They break all the rules, sneak into restricted areas--and the one unbonded friend ends up bonding a injured dragon recovering in the dragon infirmary.

One of the supernatural beings takes pity on them and brings them into their community facing punishments for doing so. Now the humans are to survive with their new surroundings. Do they try and escape or figure out their new life.
