Ok, got another character to maybe go ghost hunting with. We'll see I guess, tell me if I need to fix anything.
Name: Louise Dupont Nickname(s): Steel Doll Age: 16 Grade: Kiburi's, first year Appearance: Louise has been described by many as a doll, with wavy silver hair, porcelain skin, and delicate features. She's rather short, and her 'casual' clothes are all lace and frills. She is never seen without her teddy bear, a heavily worn but still fluffy stuffed animal which she always keeps close. Biography: The Dupont household can trace its roots to the middle ages of Vauquelin, where they were known throughout the land as a proud knight family. Times change, however, and the age of knights and magic gave way to the age of technology. Faced with their rapidly declining relevancy, the Dupont household decided to marry into a Yekaternian family with a similar position. Under these rather loveless circumstances, Louise was born. Although their family was in decline, they taught their children in an old fashioned way. They taught her everything, from horse riding to sword fighting to calligraphy, ettiquette, and more. Training was a rather lonely affair, with little company but her belove teddy bear. In the finer arts, Louise was... insufficiently impressive. When tasked with using her brain, she just couldn't do well. When it came to physical tasks, however, she took to it like a fish took to water. These lopsided talents put her father in an awkward position. As the heir to the main family, Louise was in a position to be judged on all sides, and she could not be found wanting. Over the years they drilled ettiquiette into Louise, slowly turning her into someone ready for high society. Unfortunately for them, the revolution came and turned their efforts into smoke. The Dupont family had been based in Yekateria for a decade by then, and even before that their political presence had been weak, so they escaped the worst of the purge. But they still had relatives in Vauquelin and they had planned to eventually return there one day. There was no longer anywhere to return to. The extended family all uneasily settled into Yekaternia. While the noble class still existed, it was obvious that the winds were changing, and they fiercely debated on what they needed to do. If the Yekaternian nobility fell as well, then there would be nothing left for them. Suddenly bereft of purpose, in their eyes, Louise's upbringing wasn't worth the bother, and so her training was more half-hearted, and she felt more alone than ever. After 3 years of tire spinning and debating, her mother stepped in and had her sent to Rhea. If times were changing then they needed to change as well. St Laurel's school had the prestige and class of noble society, if she went there she would be safe, and she would definitely learn how to be a proper lady. Banking their hopes and dreams on her once again, the Dupont family sent Louise to the city-state by herself to learn more, to grow more. Eventually, she would be the one to reclaim their lost pride. Unfortunately, she was not smart enough to pass St Laurel's entrance exam and ended up in Kiburi's school instead. Core: Soul of Steel Louise is able to use her soul to manifest the figure of a knight in armour, to protect herself and attack her foes. The figure is humanoid in shape and larger than most adults, though it only appears as the top half of a human, missing everything below the waist. It can be summoned directly on top of Louise, or it can be puppeted to fight at a distance, up to a range of 5 meters away from Louise. The manifested figure is as tough as steel and has great strength, though it can certainly be broken. Her state of spitit affects its solidity and damage that maked it past its defences is reflected on Louise. It is capable of self repair but the process is very slow, potentially lasting days. Ability 1: Shield Oath Once every 2 hours, Louise can take a knight's oath and designate a target for protection for 10 minutes. While under the oath, Louise can redirect damage that the target takes to her manifested Soul of Steel, and can summon the Soul to the target as if the target was herself. Additionally, Louise's strength, stamina, and durability are enhanced while under the oath, but if Louise breaks the vow, she is weakened instead of being strengthened for the remaining duration. If the target suffers a big enough blow, if they move out of Soul of Steel's range, or if she ever takes a step backwards while under the effects of the oath, the link will be broken. She can sever the link of her own volition with no penalty, but the cooldown will still apply normally. Ability 2: Holy Lance While the Soul of Steel is manifested, Louise can use her energy to summon the Holy Lance, a sanctified spirit weapon given to her by her mother. It can interact with both physical and spiritual entities. Louise can use the lance to attack in melee, and can summon additional lances for ranged attacks. Summoning a lance costs a lot of energy, however, so she doesn't do it often. Ability 3: Thundering Hooves What knight is complete without their horse? This ability enhances a horse's speed and power while the soul of steel is manifested on the rider. While Louise was not able to take her horse with her to Rhea, it is with her in spirit. She can channel the spirit of the horse to give her a great burst of speed in one direction, like a charging knight. She can't perform the charge consecutively, however, as it strains her legs.
