EDIT: You're right, he probably wouldn't have heard much considering his, uh, incident, this morning. Although it doesn't seem like something he wouldn't know, I can edit in a small paragraph of him overhearing that the institute is Osmond's. Also, is it more than just the fact he knows the name? Finding powerful friends is a natural instinct, especially if that's how he's been treated. Again, I can include more into his thought process, but the significance is lost on me.
