I'm sorry did you need something from me?" Name: Morgana Blackwood Age: 44 Status: Knight's Academy Professor and Unity Scholar Appearance: Despite being in her forties, Morgana bears the appearance of a much younger woman. This is due to her partner Titania halting her aging process. Her beauty and poise are well-known throughout the Rallen Region. She typically prefers to dress in darker colors, not wanting to attract much attention to herself. Underneath her outfit, her body carries several scars marking where she was struck by a whip many years ago. Personality: Morgana is considered the "mother" of the Knights' Academy. Unlike Kaizer's tough love, she's often the one nurturing the students and offering insights for how to improve. However, she have an ulterior motive in this as well. While she does care for the students who are placed under her care, she also uses her position as a means to study youths capable of the Unity Phenomenon up close. When she finds some information she considers new or 'valuable', she'll often forget where she is and begin making notes in order to study them later. Thanks to her diligent research, Morgana is considered one of - if not the best - Unity Scholars in all of Rallen. When it comes to her partner however, Morgana is... frustrated to say the least. She regrets the image of youth and beauty bestowed upon her by Titania; lamenting that she'll never get to 'grow old' with someone. In fact, she often seems annoyed when the Hatterene gets up to her usual antics of stealing Morgana's lab equipment or playing with her hair. That being said, Morgana and her partner care deeply for one another and they will ruthlessly attack when they feel the students or those close to the pair are threatened. Biography: Morgana was born to a lower-class noble family in the capital of the Rallen Region. From a young age, she was considered the 'black mareep' of her family. While her sisters wanted to sew dresses and dream of their wedding day, Morganna could be found in their little garden, seemingly talking to the wild Pokémon. This odd behavior caused her family to look upon her as a freak and she grew up having few friends during her life. Eventually, a lack of suitors calling for her caused Morgana's family to cast her out and cut her off from the family. Needless to say, Morgana didn't have a problem with this arrangement and happily took up life as a wanderer. She wandered the Rallen Region on foot, often falling in with bands of gypsies or other less than savory types in order to get by. Due to her research, she began to develop herbal remedies and potions for treating both Pokémon and people. In addition, she took up studying Pokémon, taking a particular interest in Dark, Ghost, and Fairy types. Over the years, word spread of the "Black Witch" who wandered Rallen. It was this reputation that unfortunately led to her darkest moment. One night while studying Pokémon in a town cemetery, a mob from a nearby village captured her. She was brought to the town square and accused of witchcraft. When she wouldn't confess to the charges, the sheriff took matters into his own hands, choosing to strike her with a whip until she admitted to her 'wrongdoings'. As she was about to break, a Hattena that Morgana had been studying in the cemetery arrived and stood between Morgana and her assailant. In this moment, Morgana awoke her Unity Powers. The shocked villagers, now seeing an image of beauty before them, dropped the charges and Morgana was allowed to walk free. From then on, Morgana's chief field of study was the Unity Phenomenon. In the following years, she met Kaizer and he offered her a position to teach at the Knights' Academy. While hesitant, Morgana was touched by Kaizer's sincere and friendly nature. She accepted and has long since become one of his most ardent supporters. Partner Pokémon: Morgana's partner is Titania the Hatterene. When they first bonded, Titania was moved by Morgana's predicament and blessed her with Fairy's Aura, a power that granted her an eternally beautiful visage. In addition, Titania has a reputation for being something of a prankster, often getting into schemes to distract Morgana from her work. While it seems malicious, Titania does it from a place of love, as she doesn't want Morgana to become lonely again as she used to be. Unity Abilities: When using her Unity, Morgana looks as though she's just wearing a lavish dress, but that is a dangerous misconception. In this form, her magical abilities are magnified tenfold. She is capable of firing all manners of spells from her staff. Among them, she is capable of unleashing powerful bursts of light to blind her enemies (Dazzling Gleam), and slamming her foes with telekinetic force (Psychic). If any foes get too close to her, Morgana can even turn her hair into a living weapon and strike her foes with brute strength (Brutal Swing). Lastly, she has the ability to tune out everything around her and hone her focus onto a single target, increasing the damage she deals (Calm Mind). Likes: - Studying - Caring for the students - Shoulder rubs from Titania - Hot Tea - Kaizer Dislikes: - Titania's Pranks - Forced Interactions - Being Interrupted - Those who harm her loved ones Quirks: - When using Unity, Morgana is flooded with Fairy-Type magic and can't help breaking into a gleeful smile when fighting. - Despite her partner being a Fairy-Type, Morgana prefers to be in the company of Ghost or Dark-Type Pokémon, a fact that makes Titania jealous - Morgana will often take a special interest in orphan children who are brought to the academy. In many ways, she becomes a surrogate mother for these children that either lost theirs or never had one in the first place. - Morgana is considered by many to also be the best cook at the academy. However, if she invites you to share a meal, it usually means she wants you to assist her in some sort of twisted research. Relations
The newest Professor has arrived!
