Happy Sunday from the Cargo Bay! DAY 2 of our time on Osiris has officially begun. Alana hauled Abby and Yuri to a mighty fine central planets med center to erase her bruises and to mend his arm. Good move, since both have got parts to play in the upcoming caper. If everything goes as planned, we'll see Hook leading our first bunch of refugees out of the blackout zone. If we keep a low enough profile and just look the part, chances are we'll get 'em all out, right under the noses of slavers and the Alliance. A pretty neat trick, if it works. And Cal wants it to work. Thanks to Quill, he might just have an ace up his sleeve. He might need it, since Edina and Yuri discovered that a cop might be nosing about. It's October, and all of us are getting pretty busy. As participation is flagging a bit, I'm going to rev the throttle on this episode to get us off Osiris and on our way to Pelorum. While there will be one or two central plot points there, it's largely a "vacation" free for all episode in which your characters are free to run and stir up their own particular brands of trouble. As a reminder, Wolf is still on a well deserved hiatus (he sent me a pic the other day, posing with Sherpas at Everest Base Camp!) So, while he's adventuring I'll continue to fill in for Cal. He is, however, writing cameos for Sister Lyen, so we'll see him off and on throughout this episode. Another reminder is that there's plenty for everyone to do in the current ep. If you're reduced to writing "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy," time and again, I've got two suggestions: 1. Get out of that hotel before it's snowed in. 2. Shoot me a PM or catch me in chat. I'm delighted to brainstorm with you. I spent yesterday helping my youngest move, so today I'm stiff, sore, and trapped in the office to do the bidding of my corporate masters. Feel free to reach out if you've got ideas you want to see come to light. WWIF, sail
