One Piece: Sea Reaver Pirates Reborn

[sub]Opening Theme Song: TBD[/sub][sup]Ending Theme Song: TBD[/sup] Honorstar Garrison. What was once just an ordinary Marine base along the border of the South Blue and the East Blue, is now renowned for spelling the demise of the most notorious crew of pirates ever to terrorize the South Blue. And all it took was perseverance on the Marines' end... and a well-timed counter attack of course, just when the raiding Sea Reaver Pirates had least expected it. There were heavy casualties on both sides. 16 Marine vessels were gunned down by cannon fire, and a grand total 1747 Marines lost their lives fending off the Sea Reaver Pirates. Not to mention the outer Northern- and Western-most walls had taken severe damage during the Honorstar Garrison Raid. However, the Sea Reaver Pirates easily had the raw end of the deal. 2025 members of the Sea Reaver Pirates have been confirmed to be deceased, and all the other ships they ever had possession of lay in ruins, debris strewn all around the Honorstar Garrison while the ocean that surrounds it is stained in blood. Their main flagship, the Nightshade Scorpion, and their captain, Magdalena Amarant, have both vanished without a trace. Where either one had gone during the aftermath, nobody knows... Only a scant few survivors, less than one can count on both hands, remain. They can found in the island town of Shelburgh, lurking in one corner of a tavern quietly discussing options and awaiting the return of their captain.

Some Ground Rules While You're Here

1. All rules for generic roleplaying etiquette apply. That is to say... no godmodding, no powerplaying, no metagaming, and nothing else a veteran roleplayer would wag his or her finger to you about. Especially not short-posting (writing anything less than exactly 100 words in an IC post); this is under Casual Roleplays and not Free Roleplays for a reason. 2. I have final say at all times. I'm usually a chill guy, but I'm not afraid to put my foot down and ban who I must from the RP. Just don't be a complete dick towards anyone here (me in particular) and we should be good. 3. Keep any beef you might have with another RPer to yourself. If you happen to disapprove of something that someone's done, then fine; take it to PM or something. And if you need me to defuse the situation, then hit me up about it and I'll make the executive decision right then and there. But I don't want it spilling over to where anyone and everyone else can easily catch wind of it. K? K. 4. Violence, language, sexual content etc. is not to exceed a PG-16 rating under any circumstance. The occasional swear-word or two would be fine, but don't go ham with them. Same thing goes with gore; saying that someone took a cannonball to the face would be a perfectly acceptable action to write down on its own, but there's no need to then go on about how blood spilled everywhere and all that. I've always been uncomfortable with that excessive level of gory detail, and quite frankly, it's completely and utterly unnecessary. 5. We'll be posting in rounds; and you're not permitted to post more than twice per round under any circumstance. It doesn't matter how you'd want to space your second post for the round from your first; the whole idea behind this rule is that everyone gets a chance to post and no one person (especially not a slower RPer) gets left behind. A new round will begin after I've posted a plot advancement of some degree within the story itself, whether it be minor or major. Of course, I'll want to follow this rule myself so that my characters have the chance to properly interact with yours, so if any post I make looks to be shorter than normal, please assume that that post is a continuation of the current round of posting and not the beginning of a new round... unless I just happen to say otherwise. 6. Dedication to this RP is integral. While I do try to be patient, I ultimately expect to see a post from each RPer by the end of each fortnight at the very latest, if not the end of each week. If something crops up that'd prevent you from posting, I'd be happy to let it slide if you can tell me about it fast enough. Of course, I may be forced to move the plot forward just to prevent the whole RP from dying in its entirety, but don't be surprised if I then grill you after the fact for not having an excuse lined up in time. 7. More rules will be added as I see fit. Aside from that, have some well regulated fun; the best kind :]

Character Sheet Template

Faceclaim for your character goes here A quote your character might say goes here, in the hex code of your choice. (You might wanna swap the color of the field titles to that hex code; it just looks better from an aesthetic standpoint. Oh, and try not to have your hex code clash too heavily with another RP'er's, color-wise.)

Personal Information

[sub]Name:[/sub]
(The name of your character.)
[sub]Epithet:[/sub]
(A nickname of sorts that may have been bestowed upon your character. Doesn't have to be fancy or cool; in fact most of the characters that have epithets tend to have awfully simple ones. Straw Hat Luffy comes to mind, here.)
[sub]Race:[/sub]
(The race of your character. You have the option of Human, Fish-Man, Merfolk, Skypiean, Mink, Dwarf or Cyborg. Giants will strictly be NPC's cause... let's face it, there's no way they fit on a normal-sized pirate ship. Special note for Cyborgs; you might wanna give mention of the original race off to one side.)
[sub]Gender:[/sub]
(The gender your character was born as. I'd say stick to full-fledged males or females for simplicity's sake. I can allow for a trap or reserve trap to be made should you insist, but this isn't the time or place for the can of worms labelled "Futanari" to be opened.)
[sub]Blood Type:[/sub]
(The blood type your characters are. There are 4 blood types in the One Piece universe; S, X, F and XF. If I had to speculate how they'd compare to the IRL counterparts, S would be your O, X would be your A, F would be your B and XF would be your AB. I'll also allow for you to throw in a + or a - in front of any of them except S.)
[sub]Age:[/sub]
(How old your character is. As far as limitations go, the youngest age I'm willing to allow is 13, with the oldest age being 65.)
[sub]Height:[/sub]
(The height your character stands at. You should know that there are more than a handful of obscenely tall One Piece characters out there; you have Blueno, you have Eneru, you have Monkey D. Garp, you have Big Mom... hell, you even have Shirahoshi, just to name a few of those off the top of my head. As such, I'm not actually gonna put a hard limit on any one or two characters' heights. I only ask that you guys don't all jump on the super-big-tall-person bandwagon at once.)
[sub]Weight:[/sub]
(How heavy your character tips the scales at. If he or she is a humanoid character whose height can be achieved IRL beyond reasonable doubt, I might look at this more closely to see if its within normal ranges. Otherwise, chances are I'll just go with what you've written.)
[sub]BWH Ratio:[/sub]
(The measurements of your character's bust, waist and hips. Note that this is entirely optional, and that it is only truly applicable for characters whose bodies are structured in a feminine fashion (whether they be full-fledged females or otherwise). Please remove this field if not using it.)
[sub]Role In Crew:[/sub]
(What role your character serves within the crew. Captain is off the table because Magdalena exists as your captain already, and First Mate is also off the table for now, but I may have Magdalena promote someone from the first set of characters to First Mate later in the RP... if I feel it warranted. You can, however, choose from Navigator, Engineer, Shipwright, Doctor, Cook, Entertainer, Helmsman, Enforcer or Swabbie.)
[sub]Bounty:[/sub]
(The bounty your character has over his or her head. The Sea Reaver Pirates were notoriously known to have huge bounties; as such, any eight- or nine-figure Beri amount you can think of would be more than fitting. Just don't try to one up your own captain.)
[sub]Dream:[/sub]
(The dream your character aspires to make into a reality, or the end-goal he or she has in mind for his or her pirate career.)
[sub]Appearance Details:[/sub]
(Other details to your character's appearance that aren't covered by the faceclaim itself go here.)
[sub]Personality:[/sub]
(How your character generally acts around others. I usually do 3 paragraphs for all my characters, but that's partly because I'm insane. One or two decent sized ones from you guys will be more than within my expectations, here.)
[sub]Biography:[/sub]
(Some information on your character's past. Be sure to include when your character joined up with the Sea Reaver Pirates, what he or she did to earn the bounty he or she has, and how he or she survived the Honorstar Garrison Raid battle... even if the answer to that question is that he or she never took part in it.)

Combat Information

[sub]Combat Role:[/sub]
(The combative role your character takes. Is he or she a Swordsman? A Martial Artist? A Swashbuckler? A Corsair? A Sniper?)
[sub]Devil Fruit Name:[/sub]
(The name of the Devil Fruit your character has consumed. I'd rather you give the English name first and slash in the Japanese name, rather than the other way around. e.g. Gum Gum Fruit/Gomu Gomu no Mi. Some Devil Fruits have model forms that do slightly different things from their base; if yours is one of those, you can just tack the model variant at the end like so: Ox Ox Fruit/Ushi Ushi no Mi, Model: Giraffe.)
[sub]Devil Fruit Type:[/sub]
(The type of Devil Fruit that said Fruit falls under. There are three of them; Paramecia, Logia and Zoan. You can learn more by clicking the links for each of them. If your character does not use a Devil Fruit, please remove this field, the field above it and the field below it; as you can see, all three of these fields are dedicated to the Devil Fruit.)
[sub]Devil Fruit Breakdown:[/sub]
(What the Devil Fruit allows your character to do. I'll be honest, I don't know all of the Devil Fruits in canon existence, so I'll primarily be looking at this field in particular for balance checks. If it's a custom Devil Fruit that's OP, I can suggest nerfs for you to give it easily enough. But if it just so happens to be an OP canon one, you'll have to scrap it and think up a new one.)
[sub]Haki Prowess:[/sub]
(How proficient your character is with each of the three types of Haki; Observation, Armament and Conqueror's. As with the Devil Fruit types, I've linked these three Haki types so you know what they do as a whole before you try and grade them. I'll only allow an S rank for one type of Haki that isn't Conqueror's, and only if your character has neither a (particularly potent) Devil Fruit nor an all-that-impressive array of equipment. And even then, I'll probably ask you to take the prowess in the other two types down a notch or two just to be safe. The lesser ranks are from D through to A.)
[sub]Physical Capabilities:[/sub]
(Some of the physical feats your character can accomplish, without the use of his or her Devil Fruit if he or she has one. Are they strong? Acrobatic? Light on their feet? Do they see good? You can also list any physical shortcomings your character may have here as well, albeit at your own risk. Also, one thing to note is that Devil Fruit users always lose the ability to swim, without exception.)
[sub]Fighting Style:[/sub]
(How your character handles battle, if different from what one might expect given his or her combative role. Be sure to include which Sword Style your character uses if he or she is a Swordsman.)
[sub]Equipment:[/sub]
(Every item your character utilizes in battle, seldom or often. Cyborgs typically have a lot of equipment on their person, especially armor and weapons.)
[sub]Special Techniques:[/sub]
(As it says on the tin. Note that this is entirely optional; feel free to omit this entirely if you'd rather not deal with the hassle, although you may also want to remove the field too so the app still looks nice.)

Miscellaneous Information

(Everything that isn't relevant for the other fields goes here. Theme songs, ideal voice actors/actresses, tidbits of trivia, etc.)
