Mathew walked cautiously into Otaku Town, recognizing the anime characters and scenery adorning the walls whether it was in pictures or painted directly onto the wall. EDM was playing throughout the bar, loud enough to notice but not so loud as to drown out people's voices. With his eyes wide in paranoid terror, Mathew sat at the bar and ordered a Health Potion. A Health Potion was a vodka based cocktail mixed with cranberry juice and soda, and served in a jar.

He had no reason to fear anyone or anything at this bar, his behavior was brought about by a coming down from substances he wasn't used to. The night prior, Mathew had left this very establishment with a friend he had newly made to sample magic mushrooms. What wound up happening was the two of them consuming the friend's entire remaining supply. Earlier that day, Mathew giggled in amusement at how things which were normally still danced and waved at him. He had spent the early morning (11:45 am more specifically) still under the influence of what he had done the night before, and when the hallucinations wore off he was still laughing at his own thoughts. That lasted until night fell, when he realized he had left something of importance at his friend's house and forgot how to get to the place or contact him. So he came back to Otaku Town in the hopes of finding this person again.
