"I know you will..." Edge grinned charmingly. There was something oddly dangerous about him now. Not the danger you would find in a criminal, but the insanity you would see in a psychopath. For some reason, it just made him a bit more interesting. The king of all hydras knew his heart would be safe with Path. Or, at least, he hoped it wasn't a mistake to reveal his weakness. Suppose Path told the Elders? What would they do to him? They didn't understand him... Path probably didn't even understand him. The only ones who really related to him were the hydras. However, it was Edge's turn to try and understand the elders. At Path's solumn words and tears, the boy held him close. Skylark haf also moved to where they were and was rubbing his Father's back lovingly. "Don't cry because it's over, anime because it happened." He advised, letting a bit of wit escape him. Edge smiled softly. "Your mother sounds amazing." He bit his bottom lip. "I don't think I ever had parents. You should be glad you did. Now that I'm a daddy, I don't really know what I'm supposed to do or anything like that. Path... I..." He locked eyes with his mate. "I can't keep rejecting the hydra. There aren't that many of them, so we're all very close. I know you can't understand, but they're my family," At that point, Skylark interrupted. "But Daddy, we're your family! You can't leave us!!! RIGHT, SLEIPNIR?" Edge snickered. "I won't leave you two... come to Daddy." He spread his arms out and Skylark dashed to hug him.
