[b]History of the Ship:[/b]
[indent]Created as a by-product of the Great Cybertronian War, the Vanguard class ships were part of a last ditch effort to turn the tide against the Decepticon horde. In an attempt to push back the Decepticon forces who had taken control over most of Cybertron, Autobot commander Optimus Prime authorized the construction of these ships. However, rapidly diminishing stockpiles of Energon, the primary fuel source on Cybertron, led to production being halted halfway through the first run of Vanguard ships.[/indent]
[indent]Without many options and a bleak looking future, Optimus gave the order to abandon Cybertron. The remaining Autobot forces loaded up on the Vanguards and left their homeworld. Optimus Prime would be in the lead ship, dubbed the Ark. The Vanguard ships would each go off in a different direction, looking for a new world to inhabit. The Ark would travel across the Milky Way Galaxy, finding most planets already taken.[/indent]
[indent]The gang of Autobots would spend kilo-cycles looking for somewhere to call home. During this time they would become more of a crew, with many Autobots being given official titles aboard the Ark.[/indent]
