I would appreciate some more info. Are we supposed to all be the crew of one ship and know each other already? Do you have a "plot" in mind, or "events"? I have noticed that oftentimes RPs die when there is no direct "next step" and "goal" presented to the group. So would we have missions or anything? (I'm thinking of it kind of like quests in an open-world video game if that makes sense.)

Are you looking for only humans as characters or can we go wild and invent new races from other solar systems like sci-fi often does?
