I knew you'd use that. The thing is, that supports my argument more than yours. It was a cultural reason, which an all loving god could and would demand change of, considering how evil it is to treat females like property. So yes, it doesn't FORCE the man to marry the victim, it forces him to ask the girl's FATHER to choose her fate instead of the girl herself. You keep ignoring that your book treats girls like shit.
