Oh no. 

We're using the Commoner Stat Block from the Monster Manual to fill in the blanks for your character sheets until your characters figure out their classes during the game. 

You get the backgrounds' and races' features, skills, proficiencies, etc. as normal. You also have Player Character stats (Standard Array, Point Buy, or rolling for stats) as normal.

 But for your fighting capabilities, you only have the club, and you have 4+Con Mod for your HP.
