However, she needs to concentrate in order to keep such a barrier up, and the more damage the barrier takes, the more strain she endures. She can also create smaller, personal shields on herself or others, but more than a few (3-5) also requires concentration to keep up, even when not under attack. [*]Attack Reflector: A refinement of her Barrier Creation ability, Rasha can focus a one-direction force shield that can reflect any direct attacks back at their original senders. However, this only works against direct attacks like projectiles and beams. Area of effect attacks cannot be countered this way, and if a projectile causes an AoE, it can only be reflected if it’s still in projectile form. For example, if an enemy fires a small sphere of light that expands into a large explosion, Rasha can reflect it only if it targets inside the reflector, or hits the reflector head-on. It cannot counter a projectile that explodes outside the shield and engulfs her in its AoE. Similarly, Rasha requires more effort to counter more powerful attacks, and she needs to expect an attack from a certain direction to prepare for it, and cannot raise it instantaneously. [*]Illusion/Mirage: Using the power of her Noble Arm, Rasha can create wide-area illusions that can fool cameras (GM’s discretion), but these illusions can only be fixed in one location and require concentration to keep up. Going inside the illusion area reveals the trick, and Rasha has never had to go up against someone capable of dispelling illusions, so she has no idea if her illusions can be countered by other NA users or not. Also, all her mirages only cover visual components; audio components are muffled but still audible to those outside it, and it does nothing for smell or other senses. She can also create a smaller area illusion that centers around herself and is mobile with her, but requires concentration (if much less than the fixed wide-area version) to keep up. [*]Divination: Using the power of her mirror, Rasha can ‘scan’ an area to scout it from a distance. She can see illusions or stealth as faint ‘blurs’ on the mirror, and can focus on them to see through the illusions. She can also focus on a specific area to make out details, such as the writing on a letter or the facial details of someone. [*]Communication: As an extension of the Divination ability, Rasha can engage in long-distance conversations with others by manifesting an image of her mirror through which she can see and talk with the person on the other side. She can also use her mirror to ‘possess’ a television screen or similar device to communicate with the others on that side. Either way, she has to know whom she wants to talk to, and in the case of ‘possessing’ a TV or camera, she needs to know where said devices are in order to focus on them. [*]Portals: Rasha can create a two-way portal between her position and a memorized location by throwing her mirror at a flat surface, such as a wall. The mirror sticks to the surface and expands to form a portal that looks to be made of quicksilver. People can travel between both points, and she can dismiss the portal by recalling her mirror from whatever end she’s on, regardless of where she created the original opening. The size of the portal cannot exceed the size of the wall it’s on, and can grow only to about 5-6m tall.
Other Abilities: Rasha has field medic training, and has decent skills with computers and electronic devices. She’s also very good at playing the piano.

Personality: Rasha is generally polite and formal in her approach, if a bit aloof and distant at times. She generally opens up only to family or close friends, leaving her with the moniker of “Ice Queen” back in college. She is, however, incredibly loyal to the few friends she has cultivated, valuing them greatly, and is very loyal to her family and loved ones. She is also a very intellectual person and loves reading, and enjoys applying a scientific, rational approach to things. She’s also unenthusiastic about the ASEAN war (at least initially), having no personal stakes or beliefs in the conflict itself and is merely serving in a support role in order to help her father out. Her biggest motivation at the beginning of her service in the Philippines is to help her father out of his financial woes as the US government conveniently helps him behind the scenes in return for her aiding Philippine resistance against the Chinese invasion. Likes: Baklava, calm music, swimming, reading Dislikes: Overly spicy foods, alcohol Fears: Snakes, dying alone, losing her family. Bio: Oldest daughter to Rami Al-Akhdar, a Jordanian-American businessman, Rasha was raised in the relatively conservative bicultural household as a polite and deferential individual. Given her cultural background, however, and her own tendency to keep to herself, she rarely opens up to outsiders, and takes a long time to open up to others. Her childhood and teenage years were largely peaceful and constructive, allowing Rasha to grow up an intelligent, confident young woman. However, recently, given the global tensions, her father’s businesses started to face critical issues, and watching her father becoming more stressed and alarmed has worried Rasha, dutiful daughter that she is. Furthermore, the discovery of her abilities as a Noble Arms user has put her under the watchful eyes of many. The first signs of her manifesting a Noble Arm is when she tried to evade a rather persistent and unwanted suitor, and just wished she could lose him. To her surprise, he walked right past her as though she wasn’t there. Later, she discovered that she could repeat the feat by simply creating strong visual illusions to conceal or mislead others. Soon after, she awoke one day to find an ornate mirror by her bedside, and initially assumed it was a gift from her parents. To her surprise and shock, she discovered that thinking about her parents caused the mirror to reveal where they were, and that by concentrating, she could see anyone she was thinking of if she concentrated. She told her parents to make sense of it all, and they implored her to keep it secret. However, no matter how much she tried to keep it under wraps, she found herself being followed, and her mirror would confirm as much and even reveal who was following her at any time. This allowed her to escape scrutiny for a while, but not forever. Shortly after her father’s decline in fortunes, a certain “representative of Uncle Sam” came knocking one day, when her parents were out. Initially she brusquely refused him entry, telling him to come back when her parents were home, but he simply said that if she wanted to help out her father, she’d be interested in what he had to say. Cautiously, she let him in, and he made his offer; help the US’ interests abroad as a Noble Arms user, and the government might find a way to help relieve Mr. Al-Akhdar of his mounting financial problems. Maybe not through a direct cash infusion, but more by cutting the red tape strangling his businesses and maybe even opening a few more venues of salvation. He said he was willing to give her time to think it over, but warned her not to wait too long. Faced with the dilemma of being a good daughter, Rasha found no choice but to agree, and found herself saying goodbye to her parents before being sent halfway across the globe to a conflict she knows little about.
