You can see in his eyes that he's gone through his own fair share of traumas and has been forced to grow from them, allowing him to develop more as a person. He's evolved. Although his introversion has not gone away, he isn't as terrified at reaching out for connection or as quick to reject it as he had once been. He makes friends for life and is loyal above all else. 

His studious and dedicated nature, combined with a sharp wit, means that he can usually think of one or two solutions to a problem presented to him. He tries to treat others with kindness, unless they have wronged him and in that case, he will abandon them almost entirely due to his pride. He has a decent sense of humor - that he's begun to let out more and more around other people, although his quiet nature may mean that they miss it.

[b][color=12ABB0]How did you discover your powers:[/color][/b] Feast of Feasts (equivalent to Thanksgiving) was a bit of a trying time that year. An argument had broken out between him and his parents and Neil snapped. He wanted to punch something, to smash all of the plates and flip the table - and as he glared, the plates began to tremble. They then exploded in front of his eyes and he was unable to control it. Luckily, his parents were able to help contain his abilities until he calmed down - and his life was changed forever. He wasn't an ordinary person with weird parents anymore - he was a mutant with weird parents. 

[b][color=12ABB0]General History:[/color][/b] Neil was raised by his aunts, as his parents were busy with their jobs at the New York Sanctum. The pair of them were sorcerers, having dedicated their lives to studying the Mystic Arts and protecting the multiverse from threats beyond the sort that the Avengers and other superhero teams could handle. Due to their exposure to mystic energy and the various realms, their only son - Neil Terence Spellman - was born with the X-gene. 

He and his cousin, Rebecca Eventide, grew up as brother and sister. Her mother left her with her father - Neil's uncle - and he in turn left his baby girl with his sisters. It was sadly a bit of tradition in the family, but his aunties didn't mind it. They celebrated Solstice instead of Christmas, sticking to the family's more pagan roots, and they attended public school together. It was in high school that O.M.E.N. came to the home, accusing his cousin of being a witch. His aunties managed to talk their way out of it, but that was the real reason they ceased public education and went through home schooling. Their lifestyle brought suspicion and it wasn't safe for them. 

Neil was visiting his parents at the New York Sanctum for Feast of Feasts when he discovered his powers. At first, he thought it was one of the sorcerers playing a prank on him - or that he had perhaps finally come into his magic. But instead, after some tests, they realized that he was a mutant. He stayed with his aunties and started trying to test the limits of his powers, but there was only so much they could do to help him. They didn't know much about telekinetic powers beyond that caused by a spell. 

Although Neil wanted to stay at home with his family, he agreed to begin school at Xavier's Institute last year. He was luckily already at home during the entire O.M.E.N. fiasco for the summer holiday and by the time he returned for his senior year, the Mansion had already been rebuilt and he moved into his dormitory room. He's hoping to be able to improve his control over his powers - especially given how dangerous and reckless they can be.
