A little bit of backstory regarding my character for those who want to know:
Background: Ferezanthe (or Fay for short) is a *Spellsword (Sorcerer for hire). She used to be in the famous battalion called the Monstrous Regiment. An eclectic bunch of misfits that could turn the tide on the battlefield and required a hefty sum as payment for their many talents. Ferezanthe had always been the more...charismatic and pleasant to look at so more then often she was used as the battalion's face or the easy looking bait. Her knowledge on languages allowed her to stop them from making bad deals and in turn, the boys worked on her intimidation skills. How she got where she got? Her Grandmother was one of the elven refugees that travelled to the coast, after being chased from their home by one of the many wars that influenced the realm. During her travels she had been with a group that was caught an evil cult, which had been planning to use her and others to be used as a sacrifice for their God. Luckily they got saved by a band of adventurers, amongst whom was a man named Captain Justice Trygam. Being love-struck was something of an understatement and as they were escorted to the nearest village, her grandmother basically went for it. Not knowing that this particular seafaring man was actually a shape shifting Bronze Dragon named Trygamdomu, she used her good looks and wily ways to get her man. Whilst the dragon had been careful enough to not reveal his true form, grandmother caught him in an unguarded moment, putting a severe damper on wanting to be his bride. Not knowing anything about dragons apart from the fact that they breath fire and are evil, she feared the worst. She ran. She left fearing that after he was done toying with her he would use for a toothpick. So she fled to the biggest city on the continent, hoping that amongst all those people, she would be able to hide herself. But by then the damage was already done. One cannot simply wish away the result of passionate nights of lovemaking at least not for a poor elven refugee. The result that followed some months later was clearly blessed with its father's powers. Her grandmother being in need of money and a place to stay was forced to pick up the oldest profession in the world. Prostitution. Her looks at the least granted her a certain exclusivity. Saving what money and favours she could to procure her child whatever they needed. Her son turned out to be a decent sorcerer. Though his heart truly lay with baked goods, becoming a baker rather than using his powers. He set up shop with his lovely wife offering a modest and mundane stable life for Ferezanthe. It was the mundane life however that bore the crap out of Fay. As soon as she could she jumped at the opportunity to go out exploring. She used her waitressing job at one of the local inns to listen to the gossip to find the perfect adventure for her. But what came knocking was not what she had expected. When a tough looking bandit attempted to cop a feel, he got more than he bargained for, let's say it was a shocking experience. After which one would think anger would follow, but this was not the case. He was impressed. He offered her to come with him and his companions. They were a band of mercenaries for hire and could use a 'spellsword' as he called her. With doubt in her heart she went and met up with this band of brothers. Though they weren't real brothers, but as the bandit whose name was Castillion claimed, they were like family to one another. And family they became. Their name was what sealed the deal for Fay. The Monstrous Regiment. Existing, outside of Fay, of the 7 of the most curious critters you'd ever laid eyes on: Castillion: Their leader, a lecherous human cleric and he was one of the more normal ones. Teatime: A Dhampir Assasin, with a preference for watches and the performing arts; you'll find him reciting poetry during battle. Fang: A Gnome Druid with a rather furry attitude. Warning: Hide your pets. Crash: Goliath fighter and record holder of most broken down doors in existence. He fights anything and anyone. Smash: Goliath fighter with a love for booze. Twin brother to Crash and as he likes to say 'the more intelligent one'. 'Uncle': A elderly Dwarven Barbarian who enjoys feeding the less fortunate and loves big weapons. Axes in particular. Mycroft: A wimpy Dragonborn wizard that was given to Castillion by Mycroft's grandfather to toughen him up. He's the moneybag. Need anything? Ask Mycroft, his folks are beyond wealthy. Still she considered them family. And they were effective fighting force on the battlefield. She remained with them for a good part of 4 years, before the group decided to split up and head to their respective homes. Ultimately this happy home life lasted no more than a month before Fay got bored again. So currently she offered her skills to the Cityguards, but she would prefer to be her own boss again. So she send word out, letting it be known she's up for hire again.
