	Anyone who knows Sloane knows she is headstrong. Despite initial appearances, Sloane is intelligent and determined, making it through FBI training and finding a prestigious placement among their profilers. Due to this, Sloane is able to read others easily, able to assess what another person is most likely thinking or feeling. This often leads Sloane to "diagnose" people and put them into boxes in her mind. Sloane can be sociable when she desires, using her skills in profiling to know what to say and how to say it. Despite this sociable nature, Sloane does not wear her heart on her sleeve and it would take real effort to get her to open up about herself or her past. As far as she is concerned, it is the here and now that matters the most. [/color]

	Sloane grew up in a broken home. Her father worked two jobs and hated both and her mother drank whenever she found a bottle. Her parents hated each other and argued nonstop, leading Sloane to get creative whenever the neighbors or teachers at school asked about it. What Sloane didn't expect was her father, the final straw breaking, to take a gun and shoot her mother. With the intention of killing her next, Sloane managed to escape. The authorities found her father and shot him as he charged after them. Sloane was taken in and put through the foster care system.

	As with many children in the foster care system, it was luck if you managed to find a home that genuinely cared about you. Such was not the case with Sloane, who moved from home to home and met with mixed results. One family kept her in the basement with only a bed and end table. One had older sons who looked at her funny when she started developing. Other stories were too dark to tell. Despite this, Sloane found solace in school, hitting the books hard. She learned all she could, taking a special interest in psychology and the human mind.

	Sloane eventually aged out and quickly applied to college, where she earned her degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. She then applied to join the FBI, feeling the best fit for her. She trained hard and blew through Quantico, graduating and being placed in the profiling unit. There, she found a home.

	But like most things in her life, that blew up too. The federal government was in shambles and she did not have a place anymore. When she heard word from the NSPD about a task force aimed at finding serial killers, especially the Morse Code Killer, she put in her desire to join the team. It was a way of getting her life back. 	[list][*][b]Agent Ryan Grabowski[/b]: Essentially Sloane's partner it the FBI. The two of them worked on cases together. They had a friendship that could not be defined. Ryan is one of very few people Sloane trusts, but despite this, he does not know much about her past. He has a wife and three kids, all of whom Sloane met.

	[*][b]Lorelai McCarthy[/b]: The head of the FBI profiling unit. A bone-breaker who doesn't take shit from anybody. Despite not being in the field like the agents underneath her, she is a force to be reckoned with on the shooting range. She has a doctorate in forensic psychology and has been married four times.

	[*][b]Oliver Hart[/b]: Sloane's biological brother that she does not know exists. Older than her, he was put up for adoption before she was born and her parents never mentioned it. In an ironic twist of fate, he currently lives in New Seattle.[/list][/color]
