[b]Personality/Habits |[/b] Jamie is an extremely bright up-and-coming officer in the NHPD, a two-year veteran of the SWAT force who only recently became a detective of the prestigious Major Crimes Division. Despite his soft-spoken nature and quiet demurring when praised his accomplishments and the relatively young age at which he achieved them have been noticed within the department. All eyes are on Jamie.

This has rendered him a highly stressed perfectionist, with the need to prove himself driving his career. He regularly works overtime and is always willing to assist with a case, even going out on patrols with other officers to provide backup. To cope with such a workload he drinks and smokes heavily, generally fond with a bottle in hand and a cyl in mouth when not on the clock. 

In addition to these legal vices Jay also abuses pain medication via a perfectly legal prescription. His body suffers a minor allergic reaction to the relatively high number of cybernetics installed, causing migraines and occasional flare-ups of pain that can be managed fairly easily with prescription drugs. Jay's used to the discomfort, instead saving his pills for when he needs to destress after a long shift. 

Part of what makes him such an effective operator is his natural paranoia, Jay is constantly on the lookout for threats. This also makes him something of a digital recluse, owning no social media accounts or even credit cards. Hell, he holds most of his money in physical cash, only leaving enough in the bank for his account to remain active.
