I still have no idea what that game is supposed to be about. The only thing I've even heard about it is people meming the part about a talking gun to death in regards to writing/comparing it to High On Life.
It's an isekai that had an unfortunate trailer a couple months ago that has now saddled the game with a reputation of being 'cringe Marvel humor' (even though that says nothing) which is a weird talking point in a game that is ostensibly a bland open world rpg with moderately fun magic based combat and traversal mechanics. It's the kind of game that a couple generations ago would come out to little fanfare and be forgotten but then a couple years later would have people calling it a hidden gem. The comparisons to High on Life is that, much like High on Life, the talking companions don't ever shut the fuck up. It's worse in High on Life because the guns, knife, and enemies all create a maddening dirge of Justin Roiland humor but in Forspoken it's a lot of quippy jabs between the protag and her haughty magic bracelet. So pick your poison, really.
