The problem was, old Miny wasn’t taking the bait. Things progressed quickly when Janelle stepped up to put the beast to sleep. Ezekiel relaxed his fighting stance and smiled at the sleeping bull and how harmless it looked. He then glanced at Janelle but quickly shook his head and turned. She didn’t need praise from him. ”Quickest take-down I’ve ever seen,” he decided to say. He pressed the button on the hilt of his sword, which allowed it to retract back into his key chain. Ezekiel slipped the keychain into his pocket when Kristin asked him to reset Cassian’s arm. Zeke pouted. ”Can’t we just leave it for a bit? Maybe he’ll pass out from the pain and be less annoying,” Zeke teased. He knelt beside Cassian all the same and examined where the break in his arm was. ”Hmm, here. Bite down on this, ya? As I shift the bone, you might feel some twisting. It would be better to bite on this rather than your tongue.” Zeke pulled out his notebook and set the book's spine into Cassian’s mouth to bite down on. ”Good, now just think about how amazing I am,” Zeke said with a charming grin as he shifted Cassian’s bone back into place. It only took a few seconds, but it could have felt like minutes to Cassian. Once the bone was set, Zeke shut his eyes and palpated as gently as possible to ensure the bone was in the right place. ”Perfect, it was a clean break Cas, so it’ll heal easily.” He shut his eyes as his hands started to glow. He watched behind his mind’s eyes as the bone began to knit itself back together. Once the bone healed, the glowing stopped, and Ezekiel stood. He offered Cassian a hand to help him stand.
