Just as Njal was about to release the Krite, the captain had entered the mess hall before asking him to return the furball to its cage to keep it from devouring whatever food they had, giving a nod of understanding. "Of course, captain." Keeping a firm hold of the Krite as he left the mess hall, Njal waited until he was far away enough to release his pet as he tossed it onto the floor, watching it bounce a few times before rolling along the floor on its own. Even though he was heading back to his room, Njal began to have other ideas in mind, such as taking a quick walk to the cargo deck to see if there would be anything good enough to take and use it for haggling with any merchants who would be willing to make a bargain with him. The only problem was to avoid being caught by the crew or the captain. Upon reaching his room with his pet, Njal shut the door and listened for a moment to make sure no one else was close by or able to listen in on what would happen next, grinning when he only heard silence as he stared down at the Krite who stared back up at him with its bright red eyes. "Alright, I need you," Njal said, using his paws to make gestures that he had used many times to train his pet to help understand him. "To go through the vents and search everyone's room for this." He explained as he lifted his bed mattress and pulled out an empty pill bottle that he had swiped from a trashcan in the medical bay. "Bring these here and keep them hidden in your cage." So far, it seemed that the Krite understood him as it gave a nod, watching as Njal walked over to the corner of the room and move a table that was placed against the wall, revealing a vent that he had opened to allow his pet to explore through the vent system. It had taken the Krite a good while to navigate through the ventilation without any problem of remembering how to find its way back to the room, of which Njal had to sometimes sneak around if the Krite had forgotten to find its way back and retrieve it from the vents. He wasn't completely sure if anyone had noticed him removing the furball from previous ventilation exploring, but so far no one had said anything or even mentioned anything about it, so there was no need to worry. Without further hesitation, the Krite rolled into the open vent, allowing Njal to place the table back up against the wall to keep anyone from noticing that it was open in the first place. Feeling satisfied, Njal then left his room and began to casually make his way to the cargo deck, checking all around him to make sure there was no one else around to spot him, in which he would just act like he was doing nothing and abort his plan altogether.
