Greatest flaw: Possessed of a life lived too long, he has been left with a choleric disposition and melancholic humours. Reserved to the point of reticence, he prefers his solitude and takes a dim view of the gregarious and open.
Best quality: He has ambitions, and is naturally inclined towards a sense of Justice and Order. He will seldom standby if witnessing acts that contradict his moral code.
Educational Background: An erudite, his main inclinations include the esoteric arts, civil engineering, and war theory.
Character's short-term goals in life: To hold Carcosa's borders against a siege from Angelic Hosts and Infernal War-Smiths

How does Character see himself/herself? Roen knows he is fundamentally evil, but hopes his deeds and intent will pave the way to a peaceful cosmos.

He knows his actions can be perceived as callous, cruel, and unjustifiably evil, but old age and wisdom has hardened his heart to the ignorance of narrow-sighted souls. He affords others common courtesy, but will not tolerate disrespect or meddling in his ambitions.
How self-confident is the character? Roen is confident to the point of arrogance. It is the source of his greatest strength, but also his greatest weakness. It can limit his worldview and blind him to the machinations of others. Proud and prideful, his ego can be as easily bruised as flattered, and there are times he can be taunted or tricked by those that recognize these unflattering qualities.
What would most embarrass this character? Unable to leave many emotions half-felt, Roen's moods tend to be extreme. He is most shamed when others witness his ungovernable temper, or when his melancholic humours prompt him to seek the isolation of his tower.

How does the character deal with anger? He cannot control his temper well, though has made great progress over the last decade. A choleric creature by nature, experience and wisdom has softened the edges of his furies, but they will forever lurk beneath the surface of forced equanimity.
With sadness? Like his choler, Roen's melancholia lurks beneath calm and disarming facades. This explains, many think, his prevailing mood of sorrow and inner trouble, though he frequently denies it. The melancholic humour, he is wont to say, is misunderstood. That it should not be thought of so literally. It has, in fact, the quality of autumn. It is the spirit of contemplative change, and is the enabler of ends and beginnings.
What makes this character happy? A restless thing, he tends to spend his free time engaging in various hobbies to lighten his moods. He likes to read romance novels, learn instruments, and attend musicals and plays. When not pursuing his hobbies, he likes to engage in conversations and banter with close associates and companions, taking pleasure in their lived lives.
Is the character judgmental of others? Roen judges men and women by the strength of their character and the courage of their convictions. He finds liars loathsome, and cowards equally detestable.
