Kijani looked out of the corner of her eye at the well-dressed guy who'd sat beside her. A fleeting thought hit her that she was glad to not be the only one to wear her best clothes on the first day of school. She realized she didn't have a lie prepared for what had happened. "...I... lost control." Not a lie, but nothing near the full truth. Her hand rubbed at her side, subconsciously trying to soothe the phantom pain.
